Okay this is a bit of an odd request (and if this breaks the rules about "advertising" and you know who I'm talking about, please just PM me the weblink)...

But awhile back I remember the site of some guy who was selling box sets for DVD movies (JUST boxes, not the discs themselves), basically custom boxes that he'd created for movie serieses, like Star Trek, Star Wars, Godfather, Robo-Cop, Aliens, etc.

Some of them were quite fantastic (and some quite expensive).

But for the life of me I can't find the site anymore (if it still exists).

Maybe there was more than one site like it, but I wanted to show somebody...

Anyone know? People keep telling me how desperate they are for Lucas to release a big hunk of cardboard for them to fit their six star wars amray cases into. I figure it might ease their suffering a bit..

Bummer, perhaps nobody knows...

Well, I can understand if some people didn't like what he did, I'm just curious if anybody saw such site but me! Google search wasn't much help, and I tried that first, believe me. The guy was selling empty boxes for all kinds of movies, not just Star Wars. They were all custom made.

If people want cardboard boxes so much, Lucas should release some for the collectors, like New Line did for the LOTR series.


I can't think of how many people I've seen proclaim that they are still waiting on purchasing any Star Wars DVD until they can buy a "box set" of all six movies (and even folks who held off getting the 2006 editions, because they wanted a "box" like the Best Buy tin).

Wow, those cases are a work of art. Especially the Star Wars cases. A size and look for almost every imaginable liking. Nice find!
