I don't know if this warrants a new thread, but I looked over at Amazon and noticed that they now have an alternate cover for the Complete ICS and that the cover says "Written by Curtis Saxton":
Amazon Cover
I thought that it was Kerrie Dougherty who would expand on the vehicles etc. that weren't covered in the original ICS books, but I would be immensely glad if I was wrong.

AOTC ICS and ROTS ICS were written by Curtis Saxton. The other two were written by David West Reynolds. I'm not sure if Saxton did any extra stuff for the complete ICS.

You guys realize though, don't you, that this
isn't canon.
Saxton is just a fan fic author, he has nothing to do with the real intentions of Lucas in Star Wars!

I almost ripped you a new one on cannon policy, and then I saw the smile. That smile saved you, boy.

when he left LFL, Dr. Saxton left his own version of the holocron - a ton of notes, calcs, ideas, numbers, etc - behind. Them giving him the author credit may indicate they used a bunch of it.

I really, really hope that is the case.

That would be really cool.
I notice it's only his name as well as Dr. Reynolds on there, wonder why Dougherty's name isn't mentioned.

Ditto. But until we have it in hand and see that that is how is went down, don't get your hopes up.

Considering it's supposed to the COMPLETE ICS, why does the front cover feature only two things, both of which are from RotS?
It'd be nice to get some new stuff in, the least they could do is include the Executor bridge from, I think, the chronology...

The Executor bridge was from ITW:OT and SW:CL.

The "Inside the Worlds of the Star Wars Universe" and the subsequent "Complete Locations" compilation book, featured a cross section of the
Executor's superstructure conning tower.
EDIT: That should be "Inside the Worlds of the Star Wars TRILOGY" not "Universe."

Yeah, that was what I reacted to in the first place.

Absolutely. It's only two more weeks until it's released so I guess we'll have more information quite soon.

It's always possible that the image Amazon is using might not be a final cover.
Which is also my answer in regards to the OP. Anyway, I'll personally find out when my copy arrives...

As soon as this is out, I'd like the official SD.net word on whether it should be purchased, or not.

For me, since I own every other ICS, I don't know if it's worth the money to buy it just for the few extra vehicles. It depends on how extensive the updates are.
As long as the artists are the same as all the other ICS books, I'd say anyone who doesn't own the other books should definitely get it.
