Just out of curiousity, what would be the most mature thing in the Star Wars EU?

Depends, do you count the SW Novelizations in the EU? After all, they have dismemberment, siblings making out, Terracide... :P

ESB.

Because it is mature without teh angst, grittyness and unnecessary sex scenes like a certain remake of a show inspired by SW.

Good call. That was probably the first thing I'd ever seen where the good guys didn't totally defeat the bad guys and put all things to right in the end. Sad that the special edition of the next movie pissed all over that development.

Don't quote me on it but I think I've read somewhere that Lucas has ordered that SW shouldn't have explicit sex (though there's nudity and implied sex in Some EU novels).

The most Adult Star Wars? Well it's either the one episode where Luke puts it in Mara's ass or the one where Yoda diddles his own balls while choking himself with the Force or something.

Honestly? Shatterpoint was a good answer with some of the graphic deaths suffered, the Gungan massacre in the Clone Wars books was a little gory also.

IIRC there are no sex scenes in SW at all. Couples kiss a lot, say "Oh" or something similar then the scene ends. Maybe it's because they are the spawn of the Chosen One be The Solo Kids and Ben Skywalker seem to be immaculate conceptions.

There was a bit in Bacta War with Corran and Mirax that skirted things a bit, but they did explicitly climb into the same bed without clothes.

Erisi definitely almost had her way with Corran two books previous. In that same book, Gavin asks Corran about interspecies sex.

In Stackpole's own mind, Corran Horn is the only Jedi to ever get laid.

Selonians with humans sex? What an idiotic idea that was. Sure I doubt its considered anything other than a mild fetish, but it would not be everyday or normal. Humans have attraction to other humans for evolutionary reasons; only a handful would be just be sexually attracted to giant otters.

As bad as Gavin's pursued relationship with a Bothan.

Hmmmmm....maybe.

Eh, at the time Stackpole was writing there didn't seem to be very detailed or consistent portrayals of Bothans or Selonians. Going only by his written descriptions the relationships didn't seem that insane...though Corran and Gavin might have to be Furries.

On the OTHER hand, more than once IIRC he had Quarrens engaged in sexual relationships with...things that don't look like Quarrens. Don't ask me how that works.

Stackpole definitely described the Selonians as very human-like and covered in fur

So you're saying Stackpole has a furry fetish?

Stackpole wrote the for the Selonians too? I thought it was just Bothans and the Selonian thing didn't come along until the Corellian Trilogy.

It's in Wedge's Gamble. Corran went to the CorSec Officer's Ball (but CorSec Officers don't have balls, ha. ha. ha.) with a visiting Selonian sterile female (the only type of female allowed out of the dens). They had a great time, blah blah blah, she ended up being allergic to his sweat and he ended up being irritated by her fur and they both had a painful rash all over their body.

At least Stackpole avoided the "half-human hybrid" idea Star Trek comes up with so often by having Gavin Darklighter and Asyr Sei'lar completely infertile. "The parts line up well as far as [they're] concerned, but not on a cellular level," to get as close to the original quote as I can without having the book handy.

Doh! That's right. That is probably the grossest Star Wars moment I can think of now that you mention it, and more than enough reason for some other SW author to kill that Walking Pile of Self Insert off.

Ew...

You've been on the internet for how long?
There are at least thousands, probably millions of people on this one planet, right now, who would have sex with a human-sized, intelligent and vaguely humanoid otter-woman if she propositioned them.

But it won't be viewed as publicly normal if its such a relatively small fraction.
