What's the largest structure in the SW universe, besides the Kuat shipward ring thing?

SW has many other artificial constructions, including the Maw Cluster (a cluster of black holes that is astrologically large), however if you mean one that is inhabitable, it would be either Centerpoint Station or the Corellian System (if you consider that to be constructed). It can also be argued the Coruscant is a massive construction, and the shipyards at Sluis Van are probably just as big as the ones at Kuat, or of similar scale, as were the ones at Fondor.

I meant out of all the structures in the SW universe. :)

Edit: What did you mean about the Corellian system?

I bleieve the manmade Centerpoint Station was used to move the Correlian System's planets in place.

Also, what about that artificial planet in The Crystal Star?

Centerpoint was used for that, but it was not bulit by the Empire nor the Republic, but instaed by some ancient, mysterious alien race. So does that still count?

Actually, the Corellian system was manufactured in the distant pass by a race that installed everything from repulsorlifts to hyperdrives beneath the ground of the planet. Later generations have uncovered the massive propulsion systems used in the construction, and surmised that it was manufactured by moving planets from other areas into orbit around a star.

The Hyperspace Aliens were able to move planets through Hyperspace and reposition them into orbits (the Corelian System), and position black holes within close proximity of each other (the Maw). They used a construct now called Centerpoint Station to pull and position the planets, and it doubles as a nova inducing super weapon (at least before it was deactivated).

Currently, there seems to be some planet in the NJO arc that travels around in Hyperspace, but I haven't read any of the books.

EDIT: Um, basically what Ossus said.

EDIT2: IIRC, Centerpoint Station wasn't that big, smaller than DS1, I think.

Actually they didn't build hyperdrives on the planets, if I'm not mistaken.

Centerpoint would literally open up wormholes and pull planets through.

When modified, its tractor beam function could be used to alter a star's fusion and enduce an explosion in the system capable of the destroying everything there.

It is also speculated that they constructed the Maw Black Hole cluster.

Centerpoint's main sphere was the size of the DS I. Each of the two towers was about equal to the diameter of the sphere. Therefore the Centerpoint should have a diameter of 160 km, and a length of 480 km.

I don't think it's defined whether or not Zonoma Sekot had built or "grown" hyperspace engines.

World ships, the Imperial ones (Not the YV), do have built hyperspace engines. Does anybody have the dimensions on a worldship?

Wormholes? I thought it kind of just pushed stuff.....that is the idea of a tractor/repulser beam right?

The arrangement is artificial not the Black Holes themselves

NO. That the Corellian planets did not have hyperdrives. Centerpoint simply pulled them through then they stuck giant repulsors on them.

Want to explain why each planet didn't take thousands or millions of years to arrive, thus freezing and killing the planet?

It had to open up a wormhole to bring it through FTL.

They're not, however their PLACEMENT is. They were moved there by the hyperspace aliens in the distant past.

AHA! I see, there're conflicting sources. According to one, the Corellian system planets had "engines" installed on some worlds, which were later discovered archeologically. Most sources, however, claim that the system was made entirely using Centerpoint. EGPM has the most elegant solution: "Eons earlier the [Corellian] system's planets had been moved into their orbits by planetary repulsors and the hyperspace tractor called Centerpoint Station." In other words, the system HAS repulsorlifts, but no hyperdrive, and Centerpoint propels objects through hyperspace without such devices.

If you wanna go for planet bound structures made by humans the Imperial Palace on Coruscant was suposed to be huge, individually the size of any other planet's Capital.

NTM the artificial moon that has been visited in the Droid comic series.

Hosk Station. It wasn't artificial, it's just that the station covered the entire moon.

I know, but they've built up the moon to be fantastically larger than the natural surface was. In SW, there tend to be urbanized planets and moons that are almost completely covered with cities. Nar Shadaa was another good example of such a location.

That's only one theory. It's unknown how the Maw cluster was created.

I'll have to recheck Rogue Planet, but I recall they bought the engines (Subspace and hyperdrive) - Sekot was a place of organic technology (Tehre it is again!) whereas the engines and hyperdrive were non-organic in design.
