Sorry for bumping this, but it's on the first page, so what's the point of creating a new thread just for the Legacy comics?
The Indomitable finale was pretty meh. The stormtroopers who just happen to be not what you think they are in disguise was a deus ex machina et extremis. The battle was incredibly one-sided and lame. The final kill-count of ten fighters and only half the crew of the Indomitable... okay, I understand that the Imperial ships were probably not damaged much at all (other than for the docks, of course), but losing only ten fighters? The Gar Stazi ending was pretty good, but overall this two-issue arc was lame other than for showing off the new Galactic Alliance, who are interesting because apparently they are infested with xenos up the ying-yang.
At least there were no Yuuzhan Vong/Mandolarian/Felist reinforcements that came from nowhere. So I'd rate it 6.5/10- not too bad, but not spectacular.

I read the comic too. Though the story was okay, I really liked the fact we got to see Mon Cal ship yards.

I liked it, the battle was intense and the plan was sorta logical given Stazi could tell it was a trap from far away. And for once in SW, the good guys end up with a SSD intact and not destroyed. Usually that only happens in books and throwaway lines in reference guides. 8)
Though the shipyards were said to be visually embellished as per Stradley, he did say it went around the planet itself, which is still a big expansion, considering the small scattered drydocks in the Rebellion era.
And the Scythe is a massive-looking ship despite being smaller than an ISD. I think that whole bottom cylinder is like a reactor bulb, which would make this many times more powerful than the old MC80 cruisers.

I don't suppose anyone could post pictures or something (or is it against board rules?)

Made wookieepedia imagery in the article:

I can always add to that...
EDIT:
The Alliance fleet opens up on the Imperials:

The orbital defense systems join in the barrage:

Stazi's fleet gets pummled and he orders them to hide behind the shipyards:

The Indomitable is steered towards the nearest docks while taking fire while the rest of the fleet accelerates around Mon Calamari and to safety:

The Indomitable goes out with a bang, and takes about 1/3 of the shipyard with it, according to later Holonet reports:

The relative lack of fighters in this battle seems to indicate what I've been suspecting since I learnt that the Scythe is a tiny ship: The Galactic Alliance went with smaller, more numerous ships instead of a few big ones (like the Viscounts), yes, but they basically chucked a big reactor inside a solid shell, added some near-external crew quarters, cut down on hangar space and stuck several large batteries on all of them. This seems to be true for the Scythes, frigates, even Sabertooths, and they're supposed to be glorified boarding craft.

Many thanks!
Wow.. 1/3 of the shipyards taken out... I'm.. kind of sad.

They did get the Imperious done.
....so the GA could steal it. ;)

Any calculations on the Imperious? From the looks of it she is certainly one of the most massice SSDs to date, maybe even surpassing the eclipse.
The imperious with the planet in the background
Again, this time closer
The imp with the GA fleet....
Problem is, she seems to be getting smaller every shot.

The shipyard visuals are unreliable per Randy Stradley.
The Imperious itself is a big unknown for now, I don't think it's as big as the Executor or the Eclipse. Maybe something similar to Giel's flagship.

Personally, I'm startled by the fact that the shipyard didn't have some kind of shielding that would have stopped the Indomitable from destroying 1/3 of it outright >.<

You know, sad thing is, paint those new Star Destroyer's hulls blood red, black and gold and they'd look right at home in the 40k verse...

How so? I've never seen Star Destroyers that look like the vessels in WH40k.
The fact that they have sloped armor that provides better coverage for their guns, doesn't mean they're based on those ships, does it?

Warhammer 40K ships have that big slopped front and it's all black and gothic.

The entire Star Destroyer is a big, sloped front. I've seen Warhammer ships, I know what they look like. This isn't it. :P

Has anyone read the Vector arc? On one hand, the much-fan-criticized Darth Krayt is gone. On the other, he was killed off rather lamely. Are SD.net people even still reading this comic?
