Best of LOTF

Like the title says. LOTF isn't great Star Wars, but its books aren't uniformly terrible. So, what's the best one?

If you want, explain your decision, and rank all nine novels in order of preference.

In my personal opinion, the best one is Fury. Allston is the best of the authors, and Fury has the fewest nonsense--an ax to the Joiner stupidity of Dark Nest trilogy via the death of Alema Rar, and ax to the stupidity left over from the Corellian trilogy and NJO with the destruction of Centerpoint, an interesting plot for the middle of the series, and no Mandos.

Overall ranking (best to worst):
1. Fury
2. Exile
3. Invincible
4. Betrayal
5. Sacrifice
6. Tempest
7. Inferno
8. Bloodlines
9. Revelation

My vote goes to Betrayal. It seems Allston really tried to start out the series as best he could.

Given that:
-I knew Jacen Solo was going to end up as a major fucktard
-I knew in some way Luke was going to be emasculated in some way in order for anyone to be able to fight against him
-I knew some major character, most likely an EU character but a major character nonetheless, was going to die
-I knew that the trio of writers ranged from good (Allston), to average (Denning), to utter horse shit (Traviss)

I still purchased Betrayal. Allston's books had always been good to me with very few drawbacks and at the time I really needed a book to read on the toilet. So to me, I would have to nominate it as "the best of the worst."

So what happened to that copy of Betrayal? I gave it away before even finishing it less than two days later to my brother, who was planning to buy it himself. He still has it somewhere I guess, I don't really care. Reading Aaron Allston's LoTF was a lot like watching Michael Jordan when he unretired a second time to come back and play for Washington.

Still haven't read Invincible, but there's no way I'd pull for a book that tries to show someone like Daala as the legit leader of the free wor... galaxy. I enjoyed Betrayal the most of the eight I've read, so Allston gets my vote here.

(Side note: I'm glad that I haven't bought a Star Wars book in years. Thank god for libraries. :D)

I vote for Fury, as it has a gigantic fleet battle.

I'd say probably Tempest, with Fury in a close second.
