Is this canon?

Odessy Slipways resin models
Found the link through
here. Looks like a small company that sells to a bigger distributer. Do they really have a license from LFL? I know that happens with modelers making lightsabers, stormtrooper armor, etc. Or is this someone making money they shouldn't be?

I really doubt it. That licensing wouldn't be easy to come by, and I think that the miniatures/model licenses would prohibit it.
Also, the page is hosted on AOL, which would be something I'd avoid if I were a legitimate business.

A few things:
*Odyssey Slipways doesn't have any kind of license, and I've no doubt LFL would shut him down as soon as he appeared on their radar. They certainly didn't hesitate to issue the
supremely talented Alfred Wong a CAD order, which was a crying fucking shame. His kits were far superior to most of the shitty models LFL
did license; and with only a few exceptions (e.g., his beautiful AT-AT, which you can see at the link above) he focused on subjects AMT/Ertl didn't even offer. When there was overlap, rest assured, Alfred's take on a model was far more accurate and easier to build than its AMT counterpart.
*Don't mistake the style of a cheapo AOL webpage distract you from the company's substance. I know Chris, Odyssey's owner; we're both regulars at Starshipmodeler.com. I have some of his models, too. He's not some cat that's out to fuck people over.
Besideswhich, since most of Chris's business is indeed done through outfits like Starshipmodeler, he couldn't screw you if he tried. There's no question: you'll get what you order. The product is quality stuff, too.
*Lucasfilm has every
legalright to piss in Chris's cereal, but I'd much prefer that they leave him alone.

I was more curious as to if they were canon because if so I would have thought about buying some to examine the details. But since they are not, no point.

Hmm.
Well, many of the subjects are canon, and the fellow behind OS does try to make them as accurate to the real thing as possible. I've talked to him about a few models and, if nothing else, I do know he uses Curtis's site as his primary reference.
Depending on the kit(s) (which ones did you have in mind?), Odyssey's models could still be a worthwhile reference. I don't have any of his Star Wars models, but I
could probably get close-up shots of anything you'd like to see.

well, the primary thought was dunk them in water to get volume
Beyond that I wanted to examine the HTL breakdown on the - octets, doubles, quads etc and get some measurements of the guns to get volume and barrel length to estimate their power. After that I'll probably come up with other things later.
