Episode IV-VI redux

Post by Col. Crackpot »

i have heard through the rumor mill that Lucas will be,yet again, 'tweaking' the original trilogy after Episode III. how much truth is there to this? It makes sense, most of us will buy it after the required period of bitching..... i know he already said that he won't be releasing the originals on DVD, so i'm assuming that after the 'tweaking' the first set of remastered episodes will go out of print as well.

I've hear that too, though I think it's just rumors. I wouldn't be surprised if Lucas did go back and change things again.

I do not think anyone knows anything sure about it. There are rumors about Padme's apperenace in RoTJ and more. However I think it is going to happen. And I fear Lucas will continuously change his films instead of writing ECU (Expanded Canon Universe) resources from his vision.

I have debunked this nonsense again and again, but it never seems to stay in the collective memory long enough.

There will be no Padme in ROTJ goddamit. None. It's even on starwars.com. There is also not a single official source that says anything about a DVD redux, or stormtroopers being dubbed, or anything else for that matter.

Someone should sticky this so noone asks it anymore.

To be honest, I think it would be nice to add a few more Jedi ghosts to Luke's vision at the party on Endor. Particularly Qui-gon and Mace Windu.

Problem is, Luke doesn't know who any of those guys are, so it would be kinda awkward.

Not to mention retarded.

I remember Rick McCallum's responce to the Padme in ROTJ question. It was basically along the same terms as: "What are you smoking?"

I believe in a sign of Zeta.
