Who would win in a war between the 2. The NR can't get involved because of some bs so its just those two going at it who wins?

The Imperial Remnant.

Better technology, more worlds, more experience, and unisexual and possibly interspecies participation in the entirity of the military-industrial complex.

The Hapans are backward, insular, sexist monarchists with shitty technology and only a few stupid curiousities the Empire never bothered to take when they ran the cluster.

I'd have to say the Remnant, because they have more experience, and more powerful ships. If I recall correctly, the Hapes cluster has 63 inhabited worlds, but I don't know how big he Imperial Remnant it.

am I the only person who confuses the hapans with an std?

and also, why are the hapans that valuable in courtship of princess leia? I dont think 63 planets will do much.

Hapan economic power is considerable, IIRC, and Hapan Battle Dragoons are nothing to scoff at.

Simple: politics and because people think if "hey, the Hapans will join in, so will I."

Hapan Battle Dragans are pathetic. They can only fire along a single vector at any time since their turbolasers have to swing around to recharge. They're only around 500 meters.

Any warship on the scale of Clone War-era Acclamator-class Troopship will rape the Battle Dragons.

It's mostly a political thing. The New Republic could probably be physically capable of conquering the Hapans if they really wanted to at that point.

I remember reading in the book that they offered gems worth hundreds of mon cal star cruisers and thinking that amazing, but in the current thot that the empire has so *much* resources, that is just a skirmish force. as for the other gifts, a gun of command is a pretty toy but not much worth against artillery, and a few sds are basically irrelevant on a galactic scale.

There's no way they had pathetic little gems worth more than dozens of cruisers.

In order for Thing A to be worth more than Thing B, someone would have to be willing to pay more for Thing A than Thing B.

Who and why would any fucking gem be worth that much?

Dumb hyperbole by a crappy author wanting to pull some magic uberwank plot device society out of nowhere.

Well, I have Courtship handy, so let me check.

Turns out the gems are some kind of living creature that take thousands of years to grow and are very, very rare. It still may be hyperbole on the part of the author, though.

Even now that the Hapans have been given better tech by the NR (specifically turbolaser tech), they are still out-numbered and out-gunned by the Imperials. IIRC in the Courtship the only reason Palpy didn't automatically instal a Moff in the region was that the Queen Mother at the time help to ruthlessly hunt down the Jedi at the time, and Hapes was mostly in-ward looking and not a threat in any way imaginable.

Any way, long story short, Remanent uses the Hapan's like toilet paper.

Is this the Hapans before the NR gave them the Repeating TL technology or afterwards?

That angle was ridiculous to me though because they could have purchased a few ships to get the technology OR LOOKED AT THE STAR DESTROYERS THEY CAPTURED dddduuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh

Either way Hapans lose in a rout..... Hahbet you thought I was gonna say otherwise after those first few lines HAHAHAHAHAHAH.....im demented :D

According to SoP and VoF the imperial remnants rule 8 sectors.

No, I think the Repeating TL technology found on on the Dragoons is a Hapan innovation.

In the Agents of Chaos duology, I think Isolder says that if the NR wants Hapan help against the YV, they'll need to give them repeating turbolaser technology. I think. I haven't read Jedi Eclipse in a while, and I don't have the book.
