Even though I'm an arrogant stuck up lazy egocentric American, I'm glad to say that I think the UK rocks.

Strange but really pretty cool.

I wonder why they won't accept it as a true religion.

Samething happened in Aussieland, several thousand marked their religion as Jedi, but it was ignored. I think it takes several million to make it an official religion.

Hehe, can you imagine if it were to be deemed an official religion. I'd love to see the Jedi Council.

For Jedi to be considered a religion we have to follow it's ways such as the force, lightsaber and etc....

Hmmm, let's see where this logic leads.

For positive Christianity to be considered a religion they would have to follow its ways such as turning the other cheek, giving all of their money to the church so that they're impoverished (because it is easier for a cow to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven, and even a bus driver in America is wealthy compared to the standard of living enjoyed in Jesus' time), refusing to enforce laws unless they are completely without sin (which no one is), etc.

For negative Christianity to be considered a true religion they would have to follow its ways such as hating all members of other faiths, being hopelessly intolerant of anything and everything that offends them ... OK, I guess negative Christianity is a true religion.

For Christian fundamentalism to be considered a true religion they would have to show that the Bible is scientifically accurate, which they can't.

See the problem with your logic? There is no argument that can be levelled against Jedi which cannot also be levelled against Christianity or any other religion. So in the end, it comes down to simple ego and appeals to popularity: "we think our religion is valid because there's a whole lot of us, so there."

As I've said before, one believer is a lunatic. A hundred believers is a cult. And a million believers is a "legitimate" religion.

Then again, do we really want to see fundie Jedi in our lifetimes? Imagine arguing with people who argue endlessly about canonicity and events in the films, not becasue it's their hobby, but because they serriously believe in it. Not to mention how easy it is to 'turn to the dark side'; we could end up with assholes almost as cruel as fundie christians. Scary thought.

I was one of the people who put down Jedi. I did it mainly as a piss take. For race I ticked other and stated that "I'M A HUMAN GOD DAMN YOU". Drove my parents nuts seeing it but who cares.

Utsanomiko, I'd rather have people worshipping Star Wars over the Bible. Think, which is inherently a better moral foundation?

Its a lot harder to "Fuck up" the Jedi religion than Christianity. There is no known canon jedi scripture that approves of mass murder. All jedi canon information tells us that cold blooded murder is bad.

Actually, people put that on their census to make fun of the goverment. It was in I think Time a few years back when this all started. The people got tired of al te gverment censuses, so they decided to start some trouble.
