Why is it that Dark Jedi / Sith are considered inherently evil? All we've seen them do is strive for order over chaos. Brutal takes are used, granted, but thats not their goal. So why is it that Sith are inherently evil??

Their philosophy is "Power denied is power wasted."

The Dark Side's personification is specifically stated to be chaos and sadism.

Palpatine wanted to turn the galaxy into a despotic state where non-Force Users were slaves before him and his elite cadre of Dark Side Adepts. He wanted a renewed Sith Empire (ref: Dark Side Sourcebook, Dark Empire Sourcebook, Dark Empire).

The Sith are about squeezing the life and will out of anything except themselves at the expense of everyone else. They're the archetypical meglomaniacs/despots, eventually doing things arbitrarily and on whim merely for their amusement; exercising power over "lesser beings" being merely because they can.

And this is bad how?

Well since you're not a fundie and morally wrong isn't defined as "disobidience to a despotic God," generally oppressing and sadistically enslaving populations for giddy meglomanical joy is viewed as bad.

Pish, its the way nature works.

No matter what your political and religious beliefs are the tactics used by Dark Jedi and Sith usually culminate in the deaths of a whole lot of people. Rule by the strong so that they weak may serve them doesn't fly with those who would be subjugated.
