Has the Death Star enough shielding to withstand a shot of the same power than her superlaser ?

In a word, no.

I'd doubt it.
makes you wonder, tho. what if black sun built it's own deathstar and tried for a coup?

well, if the superlasers power was redirected through shielding systems, theoretically yes, but its highly unlikely that shields can absorb that much energy that quickly. In all likelihood, a DS blast is caused by a rapid breakdown in hypermatter reactor control rather then storage of the energy in superfancy capacitors and shit. Because of this we can probably assume that no, a DS cant, because it doesnt have the energy storage capability.
Ofcourse, thats not to say that its shields couldnt reflect the blast like a mirror reflecting a laser without actually absorbing and remitting it.

Even if the SL power could be fully directed through the shields, it is distributed over the entire surface of the DS, and would get punctured like an orange stabbed with an ice pick

There are no sheilds that can surive a direct impact from a superlaser.

Interesting idea, but I think that they wouldn't have the wealth to supply all the materials. They provided transport and construction services, but not the resources.

In fact the Hutts managed to build a superlaser ( without all the surrounding military infrastructure ) using robots which mined an asteroid field. It was with the help of one of the DS designers IIRC.

Yeech...but yeah in Darksaber they did just this.
It broke apart before firing but it had promise.

So? It didn't work and Lemilisk (esp. in recent source materials) never thought it'd work either.

i really don't think so.... Alderran went up in a split second, and it was heavily shielded. i can't imagine a battlestation, even one as large as he DS having a shield more powerful than a planet. but that's just my opinion.

Somewhere it's stated that Coruscant's shielding might repel a Death star blast.

I doubt any planetary shield exists that could deflect enough of the Death Star's energy to save the target planet.
Even if .01% gets through, the planet is fucked.

But of course, it's the most important planet, so a powerful shield would be necessary, and considering how they've covered the entire planetary surface with a massive city, I'd say it's possible for them to build one as well.
