Another vote for the DC-15A heavy blaster rifle, as well as the infamous Merr-Sonn Class-A Thermal Detonator.
"Because he's holding a thermal detonator!"
classic.
EDIT:
Read the fucking rules.

Senate Guard ceremonial rifle.
Yes, yes, I know. "Ceremonial". But it's pretty accurate, and it has stun and shock functions.
Additionally, the
Stormtrooper Scout blaster. Compact, decent firepower.

I'm afraid that it doesn't seem to work on Jedi.

I wish we'd seen it actually fire; we know they expected it to be useful against the Falcon, but it's pegged largely through RPG material and the books which use that as source as an anti- infantry weapon.
I personally rationalise this by assuming that it's anti armour use consists of sustained fire of reliably man-killing but not individually antivehicle bolts against a specific point on the target, burning through by repeated impact. This is largely a guess though.
The rebel medium MGs from the trenches at Hoth look a lot less clumsy, possibly only a two man crew, gun and tripod together. Probably not as zappy.
I seem to recall some X-wing book (
Wedge's Gamble, probably) using E-webs as short-range anti-air weapons.

It worked on Leia . . . though admittedly she was not much of a Jedi at that point.

My favourite SW weapon, outside of the obvious lightsabre & DL-44: DX-2 disruptor pistol, the original door knocker pistol (Pumpkin Scissors reference
)
Nevermind the lame Trek-ish NDF effect sniper rifle disruptors from Jedi Knight (and onwards) games. With this baby, you get yourself within 7 metres of the target, aim, pull trigger, and all that's left of your target is a pile of ashes.

Although never actually seen in the games, i would have to go with a fully upgraded version of HK-47's droid assassin rifle.
Mostly because you would have to have HK-47 with you to use the damn thing.
So i guess my REAL choice would be HK-47 himself. Although i dont hing a droid can be considered "hanheld".

If Carrot gets to use HK-47 then I call Jar-Jar Binks. The Clone Wars cartoon has shown that he has the uncanny ability to ruin the shit of whoever happens to be in his general area. Just toss him at the enemy and wait for the fireworks.

I don't need it to work on Jedi. I need it to work on bank managers, local law enforcement officials, and my girlfriend on those nights when I don't feel like doing my share of the housework
.

.50cal HMGs are considered capable of AA work even today for a given value of AA where anti equald "put tracers in air"
