Right now I am taking this as a major "WTF?" type rumor. I figure someone was joking and it got picked up as "real".

Not that I have anything against Lou Ferrigno but isn't he a bit bigger than David Prowse ever was? Even if he's not, he's a heck of a lot bigger than Hayden Christiansen can ever hope to be.
Oh well, this ought to be good for some laughs one way or another.

Yes. I think it is bullshit. I think Hayden plus suit/shoe modifications will be the Ep. III Vader.

It must be a joke he will stretch the suit, and if the want a tall man to fill the suit of Darth Vader maybe they could ask Richard Moll.

Strange I heard some time ago that Sala Baker would don the mask. (Sala Baker plays the part of Sauron in the LotR:FotR)

I read this on a different movie site. It's a rumor. I'll believe it when I see it.

I thought they already signed James Earl Jones to do the voice and David Prowse to do the suit. In fact, I'm almost certain I read that David Prowse was going to be in the suit again.

Didn't the original guy who wore the Vader suit die a long time ago?
I don't know if that first one is a joke, if it isn't, Sauron appears in physical form at the beginning of FOTR, so thats who they must be talking about.
David Prowse was Vader in the OT, and he is still alive.

Prowse would have to be like what? 60? 70?
I'm not sure how old he is but he has had lots of health problems in the last
couple of years. He talks about a lot of them on his website but unfortunately it doesn't say anything beyond sometime in 2002.

EW interveiwed Prowse when AOTC came out, he said he asked Lucas but Lucas turned him down due to his fractured hip.

That makes sense, in a way. The Vader costume (suit+helmet+robes) is an absolute beast to wear, and considering Prowse's age and recent health, Lucas probably doesn't want Prowse to get hurt or be liable of anything.

Now, on the other hand, the suit might be a problem for an older and more infirm Prowse, but let's consider the technical wizardry that was done with the 80 year old Christopher Lee in the LOTR movies and AOTC. ; )
Not even necessary if he didn't have any action scenes to perform in the suit (other than just sitting/standing there, and saying a few words whilst looking scary).. though I think the audience would feel cheated if he didn't at least fire up the lightsaber once and take somebody out.
Hence why Sala Baker would be a good choice, he's 1/2 inch taller than Prowse though slightly more 'built' in the suit you'd be hard pressed to tell them apart
