I would like to see what you believe to be the worst music sequence of any of the movies.
I personnally feel it is Anakin's Theme from TPM, ahh that song is horrible and displays the total kiddieness of the movie.

Worst music ? The bleeding love theme whenever they show Anakin and Padme in Episode 2. That sucked. Duel of the Fates was way better than that !
Anyway, you should set up a poll, sothat you get answers, yes ?

I like all of the orchestrated music. Lapti Nek is amazingly...bad. I just wish that Williams didn't choose to make it into 80's-type music and made some more jazz songs like from ANH. And the music that they added to RotJ SE is worse than the singing Ewoks and chorus. At least that has a better melody and lyrics that reflect the celebrating.

I wonder who was responsible for that mess? Hell, blame it on Jar Jar Binks. He was the one that started the whole Galactic Civil War, so why not add that to his war crimes?

Actually, I can rationalize that. See, without Jar Jar, the war wouldn't have started. Thus the Rebels wouldn't have been at Endor because there wouldn't have been Rebels. If the Rebels hadn't been at Endor, they wouldn't have beaten the Imps, meaning the ending of ROTJ wouldn't have been the same. Thus, Jar Jar caused the SE ending.

Jar Jar is the cause of everything, I hope he gets executed as a Traitor.

I didnt know or think of any SW music that was bad until this thread came up. But having to think of it any music with Anakin is bad, except for the OT Anakin/Vader music. I have to disagree with hating the SE ROTC ending, it was good. And about Jar Jar causing the Galactic Civil war, yes he caused it but if he didnt call for an army than the Galaxy would be under the control of greedy trade franchises (anarchy) rather than a nice straight evil monarchy.

That's pretty damned good.

On the OT sountrack, that cantina song sounded wierd. And the annoying part about the love theme from AotC is that it made the EpII soundtrack so boring.

As ironic as this might sound and outright blasphemous, I enjoyed another conductor's interpretation of Williams' ANH music better than Williams' conducting. I forgot who it was though, and it was on a record.
But I liked that version of the cantina band jazz a LOT better than Williams' version. Only thing was that the orchestrations on the record were somewhat different than Williams' ones. In other words, some parts that would normally lead into another part were re-arranged and a lot of parts were just cut out completely. For instance, the Death Star trench run music on the OT CD is something like 15 minutes long. The Death Star trench run music on the record is far less than that. In fact, when I got the CD, I was truly surprised that there was so much more music I've never heard before.

Jar Jar caused the downfall of the republic even before he ordered the Clone army. Think of this, what if Jar Jar never met Gui Gon, this would mean OBi and Gui would have to travel a very large distance to get to save the queen which was on her way to get "Processed". Obi and Qui would probably arrive too late to stop the TF from forcing the Queen to sign a treaty. Which would also mean Ami wouldn't get rescued so they wouldn't get off Naboo which would mean No Anakin, and No Vote of No Confidence in Chancelor Vallorum, and then No Gungan Army. The whole downfall of the republic, rise of Vader, and every other catastrophy was caused by Jar Jar, "Oney or Twooie little accidentays" away from killing everyone.

I have to agree that the SE ROTJ ending music was crap.

Then again when you think about it, it could have been anyone's fault for causing Palpatine to rise to power. It was really Amidala's fault for the vote of no confidence. It was Anakin's fault for blowing up the TF battleship. It was really Yoda's fault for agreeing to let Obi-Wan teach Anakin. It was really Dooku's fault for leaving the Jedi Order and helping Palpatine. It was really Palpatine's fault for being such an asshole. And if Palpatine didn't rise in power because any of those scenes in the movies, he would have found another way to do so.

Worst music 1:
-undoubtedly the celebration theme at the end of TPM. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. SOOOOOOO BAD. AWFUL. UGGHHHH. KILL ME NOW!
Ahem;
Worst music 2: the *ORIGINAL* ROTJ celebration theme. It was crap, and the SE theme was much more appropriate for the victory. Who the heck wants to hear singing Ewoks when the Empire has fallen?
Nothing else in all 5 movies is bad. Lets hope we can make that all 6 come 2005.

Let's assume the Ewoks were replaced by the chorus heard at the end singing, "Celebrate the love!," would you not agree the melody is much better than the RotJ SE music?

I believe that they are actually singing "Celebrate the LAW." I too used to think it was love for years until I read the lyrics somewhere.
Can there be a doubt?

The Ewoks' "Yub-Yub" song in ROTJ.
If ever there was a moment when the Death Star was truly needed...

For Episode III, I want the best music. None of that soppy "Love Theme", or the happy , give me some of the darkest and catchiest music of the two trilogies. Make up for the music in TPM and AotC.

Celebrate the law? It says on the closed captioning on the TV set "love." And I read it in a booklet that came with the CDs. It's love, not law. To further my proof:

Celebrate the what?
To be honest, I never listened that hard
But its still better than Yub-Yub. Death Star needed indeed ...

Am I the only one who tinks that the main theme to Star Wars is extremely overrated?? I don't say it's bad, but it's nowhere as good as the Imperial March or some of the various themes from TPM. (such as Duel of the Fates, not to mention the Droid Battle theme)
