I wonder what you think about the Force Commander starting sequence. It's pretty cool to my mind, giving the nostalgia feel of "old Star Wars" and especially the ESB.
Being a die-hard Imperial, I think this cutscene is a really good example on how the Empire can fight against a recognisable opposing force, using dedicated TIE bombers and landing craft, especially I loved the AT-AA.

P.S. Some (and I) don't like the EU but this scene is just super.

It was a nice opening for sure. The game was utter crap. I saw your avatar the other day and figured you were crazy. Now I see your nuts. athankyou

Force Commander is one of your favourite games?

You have got to be kidding me. FC was like one of the worst Star Wars PC games ever...

How could you play that game? The mechanics were awful and the gameplay sucked. What's there to like about it?

The only remote thing I liked about that game, was when I managed to have about five AT-ATs with troopers marching around them. The camera view if you can manage it is astounding.

Now this single moment is great, it is nothing when compared to Galactic Battlegrounds. Having about forty AT-ATs advancing on your opponents main base, now that is the might of the Empire.

I bought FC. And the opening movie is sweet.

I bought the game and actually waiting for it anticipating that it would kick more ass then Supremacy....alas it was utter disapointment.

Anyway, the only thing that rocked in it WAS the opening scenes. It truly kicked ass and was a pleasure to watch over and over and over again especially how they mixed different SW parts into it.

Yes...Brenn!

The cutscenes are great. The camera handling is crappy but at least it's got 3D models.

...and an AT-AT can shoot at the snowspeeders in Force Commander while in Galactic Battlegrounds they just stumbling around like stupid cows.

I rented FC instead of buying. Boy was I glad. :)
The cutscenes were very cool though, but the game sucked.

I tried SWGB. All I can say it's too bad. I thought it was good before I seriously started to play it. Experts conclude that the age of 2D strategies has gone by. Only the SW brand made me by the good old AoS again.
The FC, although sucks in graphics, has interesting gameplay and the UBER-UBER cool system of score points. It's pure strategy not some shitty "find more resources" crap. Your resource depends on how you deal with the enemy, that's a very honest system. BTW it makes it really hard to win.

Yea the kill for points system is fine, the only thing i'm bitching and probably everyone here is about that gay ass only can have "65" units or a certain amount of points reached. That was the lame part of the game.

It Sucked like a Whitehouse Inturn. The controls where shitty and the Rebel Units where just crap. The Dialogue in the Cutscenes was painful although that where themselves well animated.

Usually you're not given reinforcements unless you're losing.

Why would the Rebellion have really good units? It's not like they have the capacity for production that the Empire has.

Though from what I hear the game still blows.

It blows. Believe me.
