Shouldn't that be a Maxim gun? The Red Army used wheeled maxim's on
80 pound wheeled carriages...

My love of the Red Army does not extend that far beyond logic. Not only is the MG42 a superior weapon, I also think the Sokolov mount is ugly and primitive looking. Actually, Shadow was the first, he's just (dare I say it) actually less annoying (or at least more fun to make fun of) than Sith God.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

The 80 pound figure was with the steel shield. Without, it was only 50 pounds.Pablo Sanchez wrote: My love of the Red Army does not extend that far beyond logic. But my favorite WWII HMG is the Vickers.
And the Vickers was just a product improved version of the Maxim made
by the Brits.
For HMGs, there is only ONE choice:
The M2 Browning .50 calibre Heavy Machine Gun, Air Cooled.

Re: Our first troll
That's funny 'cause I was watching the history channel. There was testimony from a German machine gunner who survived the Eastern front and he complained that the fancy MG42s would freeze up while the primitive Russian MGs fired on. And when used defensively (which they were for the first couple of years) the bigass guns were surely fine.Pablo Sanchez wrote:My love of the Red Army does not extend that far beyond logic. How about Sothis?
How about Sothis? If you guys read his debate vs Captain Kruger in "You vs Alpha Quadrant" (page 13), you WILL believe that living organism can live without brain.
