So—when will we see a Star Wars/Marvel Crossover?

I know it's a silly idea, but so was Aliens vs Predator. Anyway, both are Disney properties so it could happen. The Avengers could end up in that Galaxy far far away.

So who wants to see Boba Fett vs. Iron Man? Mano e Mando, as it were.

I rather hope we don't ever see a canon one, because it could irreparably alter both continuities (barring time travel/alternate realities).

A non-canon/alternate continuity thing... sure, why not. Probably not as a movie though. Maybe a game or comic.

A more logical crossover, though, it seems to me, would be the Guardians of the Galaxy, rather than the Avengers.

Edit: Also, I'm sorry, but Iron Man eats Boba for breakfast. The Mandos are overrated. :)

Well, they do have that Disney infinity videogame. Presumably they will also show up in those kingdom hearts games at some point.

-Otherwise? Marvel has done some "Marvel Character A vs the Hulk" cartoon movies. Maybe they'll spring for a "Deathstar vs the Hulk" movie at some point.

The Star Trek meets Marvel crossover novel was God awful enough.

Best they stay in their own circles and don't intersect.

Playing the sides per the fiction would be horridly cliche and contrived. Plus skews both canons royally.

I wanna see Darth Vader Force-choke Bob Iger. Both are now part of Disney, so it could happen!

Or maybe a Star Wars/Muppets crossover—oh wait, that already happened.

And it was awesome!

I would have to agree, it would have to be completely off-the-books, short, non-canon one-shot: maybe down-and-out Groot and Rocket take a shot at a post-RotS-era bounty on Yoda in some far-flung galaxy.... :D

Yeah, the simplest way to do it would be either Guardians of the Galaxy or Thor/Asgard crossing over with Star Wars in a non-canon story (probably as comic or game).

Some possible plots:

Thor visits the Republic government as an emissary on behalf of Asgard. I don't have him visit the Empire because Palpatine's regime would probably offend Thor's sense of honour and he'd cut lose with the hammer.

An Asgardian has to work with the Rebels/Resistance (or the Empire) to track down some super human threat (like when Sif appeared on Agents of SHIELD).

The Guardians of the Galaxy try to rob an Imperial base or scavenge off a derelict Star Destroyer.

This should never happen unless it's a cartoon or a parody.

The Muppets team (particularly Frank Oz but not only him) were more or less joined at the hip with George Lucas from waaay back, so there was a lot of cross-pollination. Star Wars IP and parodies pop up all over the place in the original Muppets show (and for that matter the children's spin-off Muppet Babies, which was actually my first introduction to Star Wars.

Aw yeah, one of the only cartoons I had available as a kid was the Muppet Babies Star Wars parody on a tape. That was awesome. My parents lost it in a move, though...

There was also a rather awesome set of photos that feature Luke on Dagobah hanging out with Kermit and Miss Piggy in addition to Yoda.

Filming on "Dagobah" was apparently horrible. Mark Hamil and Frank Oz couldn't hear each other when they were interacting, which meant that they had to continually cut and do retakes because it was so hard to synchronize. Frank Oz then brought in the Muppets to relieve some of the tension.
