Those AT-TEs and Gunships really helped out. That and they had superior weapons.

And the droid army retreated without much of a fight too, remember the Neimodians insistance of getting their forces into space? I think that the clonies only faced a part of the forces.

Or those numbers where just a part of their overall forces.

I did not see any air support in the force listing for the droid army.

There where two fighters but they where geonosian and we know their troopers where otherwise ordered into hiding.

According to the Clone Wars video game, TradeFed Droid Fighters were covering the retreat of some of the core ships in at least one area of the battlefield.
Should we discard this because the book doesn't mention them, or should we conclude that the book excluded them?

Or, those numbers can be interpreted to mean that the command and control abilities of battle droid armies leave alot to be desired. Judging from how quickly the battle broke down into a general rout, you can definitley make an argument that the battle droids suffered a serious breakdown in their command structure. Either the nemoidians abandoned the battle flat out, or the republic forces were able to take out the links between the HQ and the front line troops.

I believe it's more like, the fighters where not engaged in the ground battle but where covering the retreat of space-born forces and possibly fighting in orbit.

The latter. Since the droid fighters may be assigned to the naval elements directly, they got overlooked.


However they neglected the Ground Attack Tank, the heavier repulsor tank fielded by the Seperatists, the Corporate Alliance treaded tanks, and the Republic's TX-130 Saber repulsor tanks.

They just did not include them.

The whole point of the clone troopers was that they were superior to droids in thought processes and the ability to carry about orders. So it could be assumed that the Republic won because of superior tactical ability.

Lets not forget how bad these guys are at being tacticians. Remember TPM? When the TradeFeds left only ONE battleship to defend Naboo, and fell for a silly Gungan ploy (c'mon, it would have made more sense to stay within the defensive walls of Theed, or better to just fry the fuckers from orbit). The Neimodians are buisnessmen, NOT military experts. This goes for the Commerce Guilds, Mining Guilds, Banking Clans, ect. Versus Yoda (?) and the other clone generals who actually KNOW what they're doing.

So while clone superiority might have given the Republic the edge, it is IMO that superior leadership to the clones, versus the shoddy leadership presented to the droids, is what gave the Republic such an easy victory.

Nope, no revision, unfortunately. Specs are given only for Kamino and Geonosis.

Especially considering that supoposedly Geonosis has 1/10th the population of Coruscant, even though it doesn't have mile-high skyscrapers covering its entire surface, and instead has small clusters of subterrainian hives that I'd bet don't even cover 10% of the planets surface.

Hmmmmmm, this is not good, this seems to indicate that unit = 1 soldier.
