He became a combat instructor by the NJO era.Durran Korr wrote:And a nitpick; maybe the reporting here isn't quite correct, but Kyle Katarn never really held a HUGE position at the Jedi Academy, did he?
Because Jedi Knight is Kyle's series.Darth Yoshi wrote:Why is it Kyle's academy? He's not a part of it.
For some reason...all I can think of is "Hey, Ninjas!!" for that pic.Durran Korr wrote:http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/20 ... een002.jpg
One of the lightsabres in this shot looks to be slightly curved at the top. You be the judge.
It looks like a glitch. Or maybe it is movement. The white core of the saber is straight. It's only the red glow that looks a bit curved.Durran Korr wrote:http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/20 ... een002.jpg

Ah, Force Choke, the ultimate newbie killer. Wasn't much of a problem for me after I learned how to use Absorption...I love watching Darkside users flinging their pathetic lightning and choke attempts at me with futility...Cal Wright wrote:I cannot wait. This looks fucking awesome. JK II was one of the best Star Wars games. (Which isn't saying much, so let's say it's fucking better than most other games). YOur right though, the MP was kinda shitty. It was too easy to do the cheap Force powers. Some people would do the back sabre attack which was cheap. Or after I finally got fed up, would do a force choke and drop someone off a ledge. Think The innards of Cloud City and some fucker is doing Force Speed. heh.
What I liked doing was Force-choking a newbie and DRAGGING them with me. I would drag em into a room full of my teamates, and when the Force choke ended, missiles galore.Durran Korr wrote:Ah, Force Choke, the ultimate newbie killer. Well the jedi thing is over done, now it's time to take on the role as a bad guy!SPOOFE wrote:Frankly, I think all the focus on Jedi in Star Wars games ignores all the other content and quality that the series has to offer. Don't get me wrong, I loved JK2, but the way the games are portrayed, everybody and his brother is either a Jedi Knight or a Sith Apprentice in the Star Wars universe.
LucasArts has not had a (good) game like that since Tie Fighter, or X-Wing (not X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter, mind you). I loved the story of Tie Fighter, and the coolness (OMG I'm in the Death Star trench!) of X-Wing. Too bad I lost the damn disks... (ok, they were CDs, not THAT old )His Divine Shadow wrote:Well the jedi thing is over done, now it's time to take on the role as a bad guy!SPOOFE wrote:Frankly, I think all the focus on Jedi in Star Wars games ignores all the other content and quality that the series has to offer. Then we need LucasArts to use the Homeworld 2 engine and make a 3d space combat sim.
Ahh, gloirous star destroyers....
