Ah, very cool. Hopefully the system requirements won't be too different from JKII.

Excellent. I'll have to add another option to my poll.

I want to be a Rancor Jedi. :D

Though I wonder if they'll have other types of hilts that actually really affect saber style. Aside from the double bladed one.

And a nitpick; maybe the reporting here isn't quite correct, but Kyle Katarn never really held a HUGE position at the Jedi Academy, did he?

*singing* So happy... :D
I'm sure as hell getting that. Woot. :)

Hopefully they'll improve upon the multiplayer this time...JKII Multiplayer was fun, but it was absolutely mindless. And seeing stormies running around with lightsabers while doing force choke broke my heart. The single player was unbelievable, however.

One of the lightsabres in this shot looks to be slightly curved at the top. You be the judge.

He became a combat instructor by the NJO era.

Why is it Kyle's academy? He's not a part of it.

Because Jedi Knight is Kyle's series.

For some reason...all I can think of is "Hey, Ninjas!!" for that pic.

But yeah it looks oddly curved...maybe just in motion of sorts?

It looks like a glitch. Or maybe it is movement. The white core of the saber is straight. It's only the red glow that looks a bit curved.

I cannot wait. This looks fucking awesome. JK II was one of the best Star Wars games. (Which isn't saying much, so let's say it's fucking better than most other games). YOur right though, the MP was kinda shitty. It was too easy to do the cheap Force powers. Some people would do the back sabre attack which was cheap. Or after I finally got fed up, would do a force choke and drop someone off a ledge. Think The innards of Cloud City and some fucker is doing Force Speed. heh.

Ah, Force Choke, the ultimate newbie killer. Wasn't much of a problem for me after I learned how to use Absorption...I love watching Darkside users flinging their pathetic lightning and choke attempts at me with futility...

Fuck absorbtion. It was neat to have Darkside powers like that and toss newbs around. If you use absorbtion, you have to be damn good, or really cheap with a sabre to survive.

What I liked doing was Force-choking a newbie and DRAGGING them with me. I would drag em into a room full of my teamates, and when the Force choke ended, missiles galore. :P

Frankly, I think all the focus on Jedi in Star Wars games ignores all the other content and quality that the series has to offer. Don't get me wrong, I loved JK2, but the way the games are portrayed, everybody and his brother is either a Jedi Knight or a Sith Apprentice in the Star Wars universe.

Well the jedi thing is over done, now it's time to take on the role as a bad guy!

Then we need LucasArts to use the Homeworld 2 engine and make a 3d space combat sim.

Ahh, gloirous star destroyers....

Awesome. Now as soon as JKII decides to cooperate with my system...

I love playing the whole game as the uber-jedi, so its cheating, buts its fun... Nar Shadda + Force Choke + saber throw = minced parts falling a long way.

LucasArts has not had a (good) game like that since Tie Fighter, or X-Wing (not X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter, mind you). I loved the story of Tie Fighter, and the coolness (OMG I'm in the Death Star trench!) of X-Wing. Too bad I lost the damn disks... (ok, they were CDs, not THAT old  )

EDIT: hrm, $15 each at LucasArts store... maybe I'll buy, my computer is old enough to handle them...
