Is it canon, official, or just a brain-fart?

Ask TF.net.

They'll tell you it is canon, and shows a post-Endor Death Star III.

The AT-AT outside the ride is SO out of scale...

But yeah, it was fun. :)

Although I love the ride, I think that their policy for Star Tours is laughable.

What is this Star Tours in the first place?
Edit: Like what kind of ride is it?

Star Tours is a ride at Disneyland, which is basically a roller coaster, except virtual.

It's cool. At the end of the ride, you get to wander into a store loaded with overpriced SW merchandise. Although they usually have some exclusive figures there.

There's also that horribly scaled X-wing in the immediate vicinity of the shop, which you should see when leaving Space Mountain.

It's also at Disney World. That's where I rode it. I don't know if it's at the Tokyo or Euro parks, although I'll assume that is is.

It's a motion simulator. You're in a room with a big movie screen in the front. You sit down, strap in, and the seats move to correspond with what happens on the screen.

IIRC a piddly tourship destroys the deathstar not the X-Wings which were flying around.

No, it's the X-wing in front of the tourship that does it.

The X-Wing did a repeat of Wedge attack run, while the tourship the MF-style attack run on the core.

No.

The Tourship covered the X-Wing that torpedoes the shaft.

Yep. I got my "Sith Lord" and "Bounty Hunter" ID badges in there. They're awesome.

Actually, I have a funny store about Star Tours...

The last time I was in Disney, I wanted to go to this ride again. And I knew they had the set-the speeder to sit on for pictures, etc. At the time I wanted to bring some costuming shit with me because I was in a online SW RPG, and wanted to take pictures for a character of mine. My dad and his fiancee didn't care, so I did. I got changed in the rest room into my Sith shit, and walked out with my "Sith Lord" badge still on that I'd purchased earlier by mistake. I had a Qui-Gon electronic lightsaber toy from their shop-I had to buy one, because I couldn't get my lightsaber toys through their airport, so i had to leave them. So I'm posing for pictures, and my dad's recording on his digital camcorder too. Well, all of a sudden this kid walks up. And he wants an autograph. He thinks I'm a park mascot...Like the kinds in the suits and shit. So I play along. And I autograph his book right next to "Tigger". Then his dad wanted me to pose for a picture with his kid. So I did! So some random person has a picture of me with their kid somewhere...LOL! It was so hillarious. Then some lady walked by barking into a walkie talkie. My rents noticed that a lot of clean up guys were comming into the area, and the all had earpieces. We think they doubled as security or something. So we decided to leave before they threw us out or charged us for impersonating a park character.

Heh.

Fuck, it's been years since I went to Disney World. Actually it's at the MGM studios theme park along with Indiana Jones. I must have on that damn ride 7 times that day. Me and my brother both. Who cares if that AT AT wasn't to scale. It was so fucking awesome to see. hell yeah. Jumping into hyperspace and shit. I dont' care how lame it was, the fucking story or anything, that was bad as shit.

Space Mountain was down when I went. Let's see, I was in 8th grade, so that was roughly 94 I think. so 9 years ago.

When I went to Disney World for the first time last summer Star Tours was the first ride I went on at the MGM park. :)

I also remember reading somewhere on the web that the last guy you see on screen at the end of the ride is George Lucas. Can anyone confirm this?
