Xizor was a criminal kingpin with a large shipping magnet. Thinking himself just runners-up to Lord Darth Vader was probably a bit of wishful thinking.

How can Lord Vader be overrated? Dark Lord of the Sith? Nearly as powerful as Palpatine by ROTJ? Chosen One? Emperor's Right Hand?

Xizor was pretty much played for the fool the entire time during Shadows of the Empire. Palpatine knew what his shenanigans were, and there was never any REAL chance of Xizor actually getting Vader in trouble.

Pretty powerful. Black Sun had one of the best spynets in the galaxy. His main company, ZTS, was worth billions upon billions of credits all by itself. He was the third richest man on Coruscant, after Vader and the Emperor. That's saying something.

Physically speaking he was a master of martial arts and could defeat most any opponent in one on one combat, however Vader would have felled him instantly. From what I've read i'd also interpret Guri as being stronger than Xizor as well.

Another example from the EU of a non-human alien secretly having vast powers within the Empire's inner circles... heh

Yeah, Vader would have 0wn3d him and his crappy metal bimbo easily.

I know it's not to do with Xizor, but when you say Vader was nearly as powerful as Palpatine, I'd say your wrong. Vader was the chosen one, higher midicloreon (pardon the spelling) cout than Yoda, he was more powerful than Palpy, but he just got turned into Plaplys little puppy dog bitch. He could have overthrown him at anytime. Wonder why he never did...

He was a cross between Vader and Thrawn. Does that give you an idea of his power?
