Shadow Trooper Vs Dark Trooper...

First round: They both start 250 meters from each other and on open ground
Second round:Inside one desert base...
The Dark Trooper is Phase III and carry his standard equipment the same with the Shadow Trooper.

The Shadow Trooper's cloaking makes him hard to see, and he also carries a lightsaber. However, he's not exactly expert at using it.
I'd say that the Dark Trooper takes it. While both weren't Force users to start with (both were "infused" as much as I detest that notion) and thus neither really has a good command of it, the dark trooper has more armor and more powerful weapons at long range.

The shadow trooper was infused with the force and limited lightsaber training. Dark troopers were just regular Stormtroopers which were trained in the use of the force, given better training, and more powerfull weapons and armor...

Shadow Trooper. They've got the cloak, and a lightsabre. I don't think Dark Troopers have cortosis-laden armor.

Cloak? Bah, IR.

Shadow troopers seem to be able to block rapid blaster fire but i'm not sure how the Dark troopers missiles would work on them (i think they could push them awayt with the force)

Dark troopers have jetpacks, missiles, and high powered blaster rifles, plus advanced sensor suites that could detect shadow troopers. Dark troopers just fly around firing missiles until the shadow troopers die.
Edit: Not postive about this yet, but I'm pretty sure Dark troopers have power-suits, which give them hundreds or perhaps thousands of times more strength than a normal human.

I was under the impression that Shadow Troopers were Force Sensitives (hence you learning that the Imperials have been asking around about Force Sensitives) who are infused with low-level abilities courtesy of the gems embued with the residual presence of dead Jedi/Sith from Ruusan.

Actually, the Shadow Trooper would either leap out of the blast radius of the missile at the last second or simply push it back towards you. They've got good accuracy with that shove, too.

Well, I just read some data on them, and it says they can fire up to six seeker missiles at once, and can carry at least 3 dozen of them. They also sport a heavy repeater rifle, and I doubt Shadow troopers are fast enough or skilled enough to deflect all of them with a lightsaber. For a Jedi or Sith it might not be terribly diffucult for them to dodge and deflect most of the incoming fire, but a shadow trooper is far less powerful in the Force and far less skilled with a lightsaber than a Jedi. Unless the shadow trooper can use a force choke, the dark trooper takes it.

Well, Shadow Troopers actually have skills nearly equal to Kyle Katarn. They can also kill the NPC Jedi trainers in the game, so that says something right there.

Thats why I said I'm not positive, moron.
In any case, it isn't true. I said it
might have been.

I stand corrected.

Are the Dark Troopers here human? If I recall correctly, the Dark Troopers from the game Dark Forces were droids. Could someone clarify this for me please?

The mass-production of the Phase III exosuit as heavy firesupport and assault work for avg. stormies was canceled when the Arc Hammer was destroyed.
The spare Exosuits ended up being used by a new commando unit of Force-Sensitive and slightly Force-trained stormtroopers.

No, it is true, they do have power armor, it's the "hundreds or thousands" comment he's laughing at.

Boy, you guy's haven't play the Dark Forces game in a while
DarkTroopers (original)
Robotic Stormtroopers. 3 variants produced before the project was defeated/shut down
Phase 1: metal skeleton (kinda reminded me of an UGLY Terminator Skeleton) equipped with a vibrosword.
Phase 2: Looks like a Black/Grey Stormtrooper on steroids. Completely Robotic, possible Shields. Special metal in armor that is resistant to blasters. High speed (Rapid Fire) Plasma Cannon (something like 5 shots to kill Kyle, been a bit since I just sat there and let him die), as well as 'micro' concussion missiles. Jet back for short range leap/flights.
Phase 3: Larger Phase 3, but can also be warn as a battle suit/mini assault mech. Weapons as a Phase 2, but add in better flight capablities and the ability to launch slow moving missles that explode and have seeker capability.
Reborn
Human(oids) that have been infused with the ability to use the Force via a process using the Valley of the Jedi and special naturally occuring crystals similar to the crystal found in a Jedi lightsaber.
The process seems to really affect the mind and personality of the Reborn.
Lightsaber skill: Depends on varient. Some of them are fairly good.
Force skills: Depends on varient
All of them are below Jedi Knight level, and most are below Luke's demonstrated skills in Empire Strikes back
Shadowtrooper
Reborn force user wearing lightsaber resistant armor. Force abilities comparable to Luke as of Empire Strikes back, with the ability to toss force lightning and they can cloak (no idea if its the full spectrum, visual spectrum, or just a powerful Force mind trick)
Good at TK. They like to push rockets back at the launcher.
(note: That's fun to do to RPG equipped Stormtroopers)
Winner if they start 250 meters apart:
Hard to say. If the Darktrooper can track the Shadowtrooper, the Shadowtrooper is gonna have a very hard time. Darktroopers are not stupid Stormies. They have actual combat programming
(For comparison, Starwars D20 RPG stats give Stormies levels in Thug. Darktroopers have levels in Solider. Oh, unlike WEG, the WOTC stuff seems to be better researched.)
Close range: Hmmm, I'm not sure on this one. I'm pretty sure one of those rockets point blank in the chest would NOT be good for the Shadowtrooper's armor. On the other hand, a lightsaber could dismember the Darktrooper (SHRUGS)
Here is a better question for ya all to consider
Reborn Force Use piloting a Phase 3 Darktrooper. All Force Abilities are in use (except Force jump, unless it can boast the Darktroopers jumping), and the Reborn has a "Great Saber" (2 meter long lightsaber blade) vs
Match 1: A Jedi Knight
Match 2: Jedi Master
Match 3: Dark Maul
Match 4: Count Dooku
Match 5: Darth Vader
Match 6: A Vong warrior (NJO)
Match 7: AT-ST
Match 8: AT-AT
Match 9: Hot jedi female removing her clothes

If there fucking calling Stormies thugs then they're about as well researched as Pearl Harbor.

Calm down GAT.
The Thug class is the Star Wars RPG is meant for "grunt" style troopers.
They have the same combat effectiveness as the solider class, just the soliders get more training in weapons and so forth.
There is an Elite Solider pretige class (i.e can't take it until you meet certain requirements) as well
Usually, the Imperial stats go like this
Thugs: Stormtroopers, low priority gaurds.
Soliders: Officers, some special forces
Elite Soliders: Guys on the level on Kyle Katarn, Boba Fett, etc.
Oh, so you know, don't totally scream at them. A stormtrooper has 4 levels of thug when they get out of training, not just 1.
For those of you that don't know, a Grunt is basically canon folder with a gun.
That is how Stormtroopers were used in the movies.
I was using the RPG as an example for training/combat programming only.
If you want to argue "research" quality with me about the d20 version of Star wars, let me know. I'd be happy to ablige.

...or maybe one...oh NOOOO!!!!
The blind man with his stick again!!!!

Can Darktrooper armor resist lightsabers? Do they have personal shielding?
If not, then perhaps a simple saber throw would be enough to disable or seriously damage a DT....

Depends which we're talking about.
Robotic Testbed Phase 3 Darktrooper?
Or Force-Sensitive Special-Ops Stormtrooper in Phase 3 Exosuit?

Any of them...
Doesn't matter if there's an Imperial Guardsman inside, either the armor resists lightsabers, or it doesn't. Either the suit has personal shielding, or it doesn't.
