I don't remember seeing it discussed here, but if it was, sorry, and please direct me to that thread. :)

Anyway, who else here has read it? I thought it was very enjoyable myself. Set just between "Courtship" and HttE, it's more or less about Leia finding out about Anakin Skywalker as a boy and coming to grips with that, in the views and words of her grandmother, Shmi (yay, more Shmi!). I enjoyed it immensely.

What about the rest of you?

very good novel

just read it myself. An it was surprising. A EU novel that I like.

The characters were well done. Chewabbac alive and well, and of cause pulling both Han and leia bums out of the fire.

I hope that the author writes a couple of more Pre Vong invasion SW novels..

yep spoiler kindive

Tatooine Ghost is a real book, written by a real author. The problem with the other authors they've been getting is that they don't bother to understand the characters so much as the story. Not so at all in this one. Excellent piece of EU fiction.

Yes, it was Thrawn.

Well obviously. How many Imperial officers do you know who have blue skin and glowing eyes? I think it's cool that Thrawn would take the time to personally lead stormtroopers on a mission, even if it is just a training mission.
