Have you ever seen the director's cut of "The Professional" (a.k.a. "Leon" for those outside the US)? There's a couple of uncomfortable scenes in that one.

(I also felt that way after seeing Fairuza Balk in both Return to Oz and the beginning of American History X. )

I don't know about Nat though. She's smart and she's hot, which scares me. Not for the usual "Oh no, she'll see through my bullshit and she can do better" loser reasons. Someone told me about the "smart, hot, sane: pick two" formula and so far it's been true for every woman I can think of.* If it holds true, Natalie's crazier than a sack of rabid snakes.

*A clarification and a corollary are in order here.

The clarification is that when sane is lacking, I don't just mean "the usual schizo woman stuff" as John Cusack put it in High Fidelity, I mean full-out "This is going to be a great date because the animal entrails told me so" wackiness. "That's just a silly example, right?" you ask. I wish to God it was.

The corollary is that a smart, sane woman doesn't have to look like a supermodel to be damn fine, because she can present herself in a pleasant and self-confident way.
