Twisted variation of the Anakin/Padme romance

I got this idea during a random chat on MSN. I don't know if anybody's thought of it before, so...

What IF, Padme would've acted all cold and all towards Anakin during AotC... never really caring for him that much.

Then, during the third movie, when Anakin's standing on the brink of the Light and Dark sides... in a move that completes his fall to the Dark Side, he rapes her, leading to the birth of Leia and Luke later on.

In one move, he would have fallen to the Dark Side, but at the same time guaranteed both his downfall and salvation later on. It would've been really ironic... sort of poetic justice.

How is that a variation?

You're sick!

Gah!

Yuk!

Ugh!

And it's a PG movie, good lord that just wouldn't be right.

No.

Not on.

Completely not.

Well, maybe variation wasn't the right word. :p And yeah, seeing as it's a PG-rated movie, it could never happen. It would've been an interesting twist, though.

If Terry Goodkind wrote the script, on the other hand....

My mind boggles at the horrors that Star Wars written by Terry Goodkind would involve.

Thats the most fucking retarded idea I've ever seen.

Stupid idea. Would have killed absolutely any sympathy anyone had for the character right there. Who would want to see a fucking rapist redeemed when they were watching ROTJ? Not me for one,

So it's okay to slaughter a villageful of sand people, but raping one person prevents you from having any sympathy towards the rapist?

...right.

A village full of savages that had just tortured his mother to death...

Yeah I can sympathise with killing those bastards. If I was in the same situation, with the same power, I'd probably do something similar.

And there's a small difference between killing a few extras (mostly off-screen anyway) and raping someone who's been a main character for a trilogy.

Padme acting cold towards Anakin and falling for him near the end of the movie would have made the romance not suck. Your rape idea wouldn't work for SW, though.

I don't know. The idea would be interesting. It would also explain why she gave away the children. She wouldn't want to keep being reminded of it.

I'm guessing she gave the kids away to hide them, knowing Darth Vader was gonna stalk her to control her as much as he stalked Jedi to kill them.

I'm sure Palaptine also had agents looking for her..

Hiding the kids was a 'at least one of us will survive'

I thought they explained why Amidala would give up the children. To hide them from the Emperor. He knew that Vader's children would be a threat.

Besides, who says that Amidala is even alive at the end of Ep III? What if the act that pushes Anakin over the edge is getting vengeance on her killer? That would almost increase your sympathy for him.

Amidala doesn't give the kids away (although she does rid herself of Luke). She dies.

Don't forget that if he wrote it, it wouldn't be calles "Star Wars." It would be called "Lightsaber Of Truth."

Not as much fun as I would like to see the John Woo directed, "Kill the YV" with Chow Yun Fat and Harrison Ford.

Wait. :? Honestly, why did the kids wind up on different planets. And if she was trying to hid the children, how did Leya(sp) end up as a princess? Reeal good hiding place

like hiding a kid near his old home, with his half brother is a good idea?

Apparently, since it worked.

Luke was litterally hidden in plain sight.

Why did it work? Maybe this is an indication of the one last bit of Anakin inside Darth Vader. He did not want to disturb the final resting place of his mother.

If this is true though then my guess is that Vader probably slaughtered the stormtroopers that killed Auntie and Uncle and thus spoiled the ground she rested in.

vader: yes, sergeant, you are the ones who acted with skill and commendation on tatooine. that is why I am assigning you to orbit dathomir. there are some local animals which admiral zinj would like. he may assign you to retrieve them.
