How Is The War With The YV Going To End?

How will it be done? We already know that the YV will fight to the death, so it seems like the only way to really win the war will be to wipe them out.....all of them, which is the very thing the Jedi are trying to avoid.
I mean come on, will the be something on Zonama Sekot that's guna make all of the YV go "Oh my. What were we thinking? Silly us. You can have all your planets back and we'll accept your technological obominations."

The key I think is with what Nom Anor is doing. There's going to be a revolt, and they're going to overthrow, naturally with the help of the Jedi, the powers at be. This will, in turn, cast out the big bad Supreme Overlord, and allow the poor peons to rule their own fate. The GA will make peace with this new, happier government which worships the Jedi anyway, and all will once again be happy and great.
Except of course for all those species who are now totally extinct, of course.

Are there really enough shamed ones to be able to pull it off? And considering how many books are left (how many?) I don't think he could form the sort of revolt your talking about.
If the Empire had done it, they would have built a super weapon with the latest in YV killing technology and it would have been called The Galaxy Killers or The Nostral of Palpatine and you know what would have happened? It wouldn't have worked because some one would have forgotten to weld a plate over an access port that leads to the main reactor and some hot shot pilot would have blown it up.
Now THATS what the Empire would have done!
......To quote Han Solo....I like that quote (did it from memory so it might not be entirely accurate).

If Nom Anor can bring in the working caste, then they might have enough to pull off such a rebellion. At the very least, such a revolt would cripple the YV's ability to wage a war, if it was widespread enough.

It's going to be hard to get the word of world though if Shirrima is trying to wipe it out but if it cripples the YV homeworld then thats a GOOD start.

If they can overrun what remains of Coruscant, then they've already won. The fall of such a huge planet is pretty damn hard to cover up, and would generate instant publicity for the Shamed Ones' cause. Other workers and Shamed Ones would then join the revolt on other ships and worlds. That would dramatically and instantly shift the balance of power.
Even if they can "only" seriously disrupt Coruscant's operations, that would likely be enough to throw the war completely towards the GA. The Shamed Ones and workers, however, want to be able to live their lives without their oppressors. That would take more doing.

I just mention them because I believe that without the Shamed Ones, the GA is going to have a hard time convincing those they represent that they shouldn't out and kill the whole lot of them. Let's not forget that the Bothans have declared total war against the Vong, meaning they'll probably go after them, no matter. Also, Agent Red or whatever is still being redeveloped, so while it's unlikely it will surface in time for use, you never know. The GA, and in perticular, the Jedi, are going to have to stand up for the Vong on this one. You can't do that very effectively unless you have some reason to, and not just the Overlord's word that everything will be happy. I simply don't see the YV government proper conceeding to a peace without the lower caste having an uprising, and winning.
Nom Anor has shown an annoying ability of not dying, and of getting some things done. In the last book, he successfully inserted one of his agents right into the Overlords den, IIRC. That right there is gold, as he well said. He's getting more and more followers, and sometimes the books do jump a few months in between. I guess time will be all that tells, but I do think that's certainly a large portion. If it plays such a minor role, I may be disappointed, because I would find it unbelievable that either the GA would wipe the Vong out, or that the Vong would simply coceed and roll over for the GA, even after a major battle. Perhaps they are defeated in a major battle, and that is when the Shamed Ones finally rise up.

Zonama Sekot (aka the living planet)
One way or another the Vong end up there, and vanish into hyperspace to their "home" galaxy, and we all live happily ever after
(sorry about the mess......trillions dead, untold devastation.....

You underestimate the grape-vine. Even though Tsavong Lah did a purge on Yavin 4, the "Vua Rapuung" heresy still made it off world. And Nom Anor has attracted a few members from the warrior caste I think.

Yea, I've just got to Part 2:Destination in Refugee and I thought I read something about warriors being there, although mostly shamed ones, but it's geting dangerous, as it seems there have been warriors there to find the "prophet", or Now Anor, and report back, but I guess as their numbers gorw it will eaiser to keep such ppl at bay by being able to post more guards and so forth, although it could be the opposite, it could prove harder with more ppl to get such ppl out...

The new republic will bring the Death Star to bear up on the Vong.

More then likely, Anakin Solo and Tahiri will have something to do with it.
i.e 'I am Tahiri, High Priestess of Anakin Solo! Get out of this galaxy!"

Course the Jedi could just give the YV Zonama Sekot and say have a prezzie and go away.

I have yet to read any of the NJO, so what is the big deal with the living planet?

It could just be the fact that the YV worship living things. Think, a living planet is like God to them.

Deus Ex Machina
Just as the Vong are about to wipe out the conbined fleets of the New Republic and Imperial Remnant, Zonama Sekot drops out of hyperspace along with a massive fleet of Sekotan warships and proceeds to beat the crap out of the Vong fleet.

The YV didn't seem to react noticeably to the planet's living status, and they didn't seem to connect it with their gods. Instead, Zonoma Sekot seems to have been the only planet ever to resist YV bioattacks.

And that makes how many ppl think that the YV will try and destoy it if they meet it again? I mean come on, they aren't exactly gracious loosers are they?

Maybe they will take the tech of Zonoma Sekot and make it so that no planet will be able to stand up to them. Then they will desstroy each other with political infighting and newer better weapons

Kind of, its not clear weather the whole thing is living or just the surface is kind of funky. But it does have hyperspace engines.

How can it enter hyperspace if it can generate a large gravity well?

.....Good point. Gravity well projecters like ones found on intirdictors are based on the same type of gravity wells that planets produce (IIRC). But then the Death Star was the size of a small moon and yet that managed to travel through hyperspace.
