MINOR spoilers below:
Just saw this on IMDB.com:
McCallum Reveals "Spoilers" for 'Star Wars: Episode 3'
Presumably unconcerned that releasing tidbits of information about the plot of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode 3 will discourage fans from seeing it, producer Rick McCallum has revealed a number of what the online community calls "spoilers" during a chat with subscribers to the Star Wars: Hyperspace website. Among them: that the film will feature an underwater duel between Ewan McGregor and droids; a scene in which Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader; the meaning of the Darth Vader name (David Prowse, who played Vader in the original trilogy, will not return); there'll probably be a downbeat ending. Meanwhile, the British website itv.com is revealing that Christopher Lee, who plays Count Dooku, dies ten minutes into the opening of the new film. Britain's Guardian newspaper, which published details of the McCallum and ITV stories in today's (Tuesday) editions, commented afterwards, "Watch this space to have the experience of watching the film even more comprehensively ruined over the coming 12 months."

As long as the opening ten minutes are a battle between Dooku and numerous Jedi, it might not be bad.

Yeah, I don't see what's wrong with that. It's not like he's gonna go down like a chump, and even if he does, there's plenty of other kickass stuff to fill the movie with.
Besides, the Dooku character has outlived his usefulness. It is time for Anakin to strike him down and take his place at Palpatine's side.

Exactly. It is disappointing that Christopher Lee's character won't be around longer but if his characters is offed so early that means there's plenty of time for lots of Vader like action. Just how bad would a young non-fucked up Vader be?

Considering that GL has said that Ep III opens with the final battle of the end of the clone war and has said so nearly from the beginning of Ep.III production is it really a surprise that Dooku dies early on. He has served his purpose, I just hope it is Anakin that does kill him, hopefully in anger so that his journey towards the darkside begins in earnest. I would hate the movie to be Anakin vascilating about what he is going to do for ninety minutes and then we get 10 minutes of a super rushed ending with the Vader suit tacked on during the finale musical number.

I know it's not an ending, but I couldn't help but think about this:
Overture, curtains, lights!
This is it! We'll hit the heights!
And oh what heights we'll hit!
On with the show this is it!

Vader says: I'm not afraid... in the movie.
Anakin gets stuck in a room which fills up with water.
Palpy does some freaky shit (not known what, maybe lots of lightning).
Sam Jackson had 3 days to learn an 88-move routine. He is being attacked. Probably by Anakin, but noone knows.
Some sequences of the Anakin/Obi-Wan combat were already filmed.
The rumour of the title Birth of the Empire is completely false.
We will see again Yoda fighting on the big screen.
Jar Jar doesn't die in ep3. Fuck.
The last 10 minutes of film are really for the fans.
At the end of the film, Leia and Luke have less than one month.
There is a person who has two lightsabres... and it is a dangerous person. (probably Assja Ventress (sp)?)
That's all the little unmentioned tidbits I know of.

We'll probably get a space battle in the beginning as it opens with the final battle of the clone war. But GL has said ever since the end of Ep. II and the Ep. III will be a "small and personal" movie. So I've been predicting for awhile there won't be any major space battles or BDZ's.

Who's to say a BDZ can't be personal?

Yes, Rick McCallum has said repeatedly in online chats that Episode 3 will open with a huge space battle. And it will be entirely in space, no ROTJ/ Phantom Menace intercutting with a ground battle. But Stravo is right, it can't be too long. There is a
lot of story to cover during the movie's 2 hours. I'll gladly sacrifice some space battle time if means we will see more of Anakin's dark side.
As for Dooku dying 10 mins. in, that hasn't been officially confirmed. That bit of info is a supposed "spy report" from TheForce.net, so it's reliability is questionable. Here's a
link. But based on what I've read on the official site, he will have little screen time. He took up a very short period of the filming schedule . When he dies?, only Lucas and company know for sure. So long as Anakin is the one that does him in, I don't care.
Edit:added link

NO! That is bad, let's hope it's Dooku dieing in a MASSIVE BDZ of the planet, with a space battle going on at the same time in space .

Hey, who wants a tangent? Ooh, ooh, I do! Well then, here goes:
Wouldn't it kick ass if a few years after EIII there was a Band of Brothers-style miniseries focussing entirely on the combat of the Clone and/or Civil wars? Where we wouldn't have to be worried about trampling over story pacing or character development, but just see it "how it is". That would totally kick ass. *sigh* Too bad it'll never happen.

I've often thought of how wicked a well-done Star Wars mini-series that didn't focus on the major players would be. Something that involved everyday people in the Star Wars galaxy would be cool. Hell, even something like "Judge Vader's Courtroom" would be badass.

I've always figured that a series about 'insert random squadron color here' squadron durring the OT would be grrrrreat.
