A younger Tarkin is confirmed by insiders, according to TFN. How accurate this is I don't know, but we can always have ye olde discussion:

Well the guy that played Jango is also going to appear.
He'll probably play one of the other clones or something probably.

I was just thinking. Could the EU character Lucas said he was including be Jorus Caboath(sp)? He was stated to be Palpy's Jedi Advisor in HttE.

He's already dead.

Well several EU character have actors that play them at conventions and such, it might be one of them. Though most Eu characters would be decades older so that might not work

I think the leading contender is Garm Bel Iblis as he's old enough and in a position of prominence at the time.

I think that it might still be too early to speculate, personally.

It'll probably be wrong. But there's nothing wrong with speculation. We do know who the EU characters are who were around and could be incorporated.

Now I understand why Boba never took off his helmet... he was probably sick of being confused with all those clones that looked almost exactly like him.

I wonder about DNA testing though. If Boba committed a crime and they ran a DNA test, shouldn't it be the same as all of the cloned soldiers?

Maybe there would be a difference cause he`s an unaltered clone.

I thought that referred to the whole mind altering treatment and accelerated aging bit. The DNA should be the same. I think.

I think some one said Jude Law. He might be able to pull it off. Certainly got the acting chops.

In other casting news, a character that will absoutley appear in EpIII has been confirmed by Star Wars Insider's Hyperspace section.

Mon Mothma, who will be played by Genevieve O'Reilly. If anything it may be in the Treaty of Correlia which would mean Garm Bel Iblis would be there too. That is, if GL sticks to the EU.

Enough of the over-quoting.
And it'd depend on what the alterations consist of. They did say they altered them for loyalty and bravery.

Sorry. But I don't think it's possible to alter people DNA to get them more loyal or braver. I would think that would be some kind of mind altering treatment. Or they could just have that technology in SW.

The quote actually goes:
"We altered their genetic structure to be more docile than the original host."
Since "they are totally obidient, taking any order without question" they were altered for loyalty. Bravery isn't exactly an attribute you can alter genetically however.

Bravery is nothing but the supression of self preservation instincts to able function without undue concern for one's saftey. If you're able to tamper with them enough to alter or erease their natural instinction for self preservation.

On the other hand, GL hasn't shown any desire to acknowledge much of the EU at all in the prequals, so I'm not too optimistic.

On the contrary, some of EU fits very well with the Prequels. Dark Forces II, the Sith Comics, and even elements of the Thrawn trilogy fit very well with the prequels. Lucas hasn't bound himself to the EU (sensibly) but he has incorporated or worked with the better aspects of the EU.
It would be suprising if he incoporates some of the better and more interesting EU characters in to the prequels.

Nobody said Jude Law. There was a pice of fanart on TF.N showing Jude Law in an Imperial Officer's uniform, and it was pretty awesome. The artist intended it to be an image of a young Tarkin, but it's never been official.
As for the EU character in the movie, Bel Iblis is possible, since they've got Mon Mothma and Bail Organa, but since the statement was simply that there's an EU character in the movie, it's entirely possible that it'll turn out to be some new character that they're trying to do a promo for. Like Aurra Sing or Quinlan Vos in EI, or that blue Twilek Jedi in EII.
And any which way, it's going to be a small part, probably no speaking lines.

TFN's spy dude wrote: Fans for some time have continued to speculate on whether or not Tarkin would appear in Episode III. The Grand Moff would have to be a younger version and bear a striking resemblance to the veteran actor - considering the powerful performance that Peter Cushing gave in the original Star Wars.
Anyhow, here's what I know: he is in Episode III. I'm not sure who's playing him and how large the role is - but who cares - I can tell you he's in 100% for sure.
