It's official, Lucasfilm has announced which 8 deleted scenes will show up on the DVD. They are:

--Padmé Addresses the Senate.

--Jedi Temple Analysis Room.

--Obi-Wan & Mace - Jedi Landing Platform.

--Extended Arrival on Naboo.

--Padmé's Parents' House.

--Padmé Bedroom.

--Dooku Interrogates Padmé.

--Anakin and Padmé on Trial.


Sorry, but no big ass space battles

Space Battle rule! There wasn't really a good chase scene in Episode 2 (I refuse to call it by that gods-awful title). Yeah, they had the "obligatory" asteroid field chase, but no real battle! We need AT-ATs! We need snowspeeders! WE NEED WEDGE!

ERRRRRG! I guess all hopes lay in Ep. III. NO pressure GL.

Or there should've been a longer battle sequence, showing more of the droids, troopers, gunships, etc,etc,etc fighting.

Phanan, Runt, Kell, Tyria, Face, Elassar.......I love all of Wraith Squadron.

Aaron Allston did a better job of creating the characters than Stackpole.

Back to the subject, They should have shown Jedi Starfighters engaging the Geonosian fighters in the final battle. That would've been AWESOME!

The scene from Padme's house should be very interesting. It's in the novel and it seems to have great chemistry.

Sorry, Wicked Pilot. I can't believe I read this thread and totally skimmed over your first post.

Again, sorry.

I assumed that if there were going to be any additional scenes on the DVD that the scenes would likely have been included in the novelization. That's why I chose the one about Amidala's parent's home. Actually the extended arrival on Naboo, her parent's home and her bedroom would definately add more character moments between her and Anakin and make the romance work better, make more sense.

As for action scenes that might have been an interesting addition if they had filmed it. I would have liked to see the full-on rampage of Anakin when he totals the Sanpeople. In the book he's carving them up, dropping huge bolders on groups of them. He's just brutal. People would really be wondering how Padame could be with him if they saw that.

Ah shit... I heard they had at least 10 minutes of cut footage from the battle in the end (even a bit with the Jedi and the Clone Commandos in a fight scene against the enemy) and they are going to add all that crap but not the battle footage?

Having said that, anything with Christopher Lee in it wouldn't suck either.

What I seem to notice missing is that Anakin's piloting hasn't made so much of an impact yet. Where is this excellent piloting that helped win the clone wars?

So in Episode III now we have to look for Anakin Skywalker in a large scale space battle, maybe in a Jedi Starfighter, then a vicious lightsaber duel with Obi Wan Kenobi, then becoming Darth Vader and somehow having a hand in the death of the Jedi Council save for Yoda. Samuel L Jackson said it himself that "everyone is gonna die" and that "there is only one guy bad enough" to take out his character, Darth Vader.

Unless this movie is 4 hours long I believe there is the potential for something being left out.
