Are the books canon?

I've heard different things from different people on this matter.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

They are offical which translates into Cannon(Quais-cannon is the offical phrase, whereby they ARE cannon unless anything Cannonical contradicts them then they loose but are otherwise cannon)

But then if you bothered to read the various parts on the MAIN PAGE of Wong site you would know that already

Check the Mike Vs Darkstar debate to learn more about the specfic aurgments aginst EU, and see why even realy does not like Darkstar

I like Mike's way of looking at the books as being historical documents, whereas the movies are documentaries made of events as they actually happened.

The above is unless you are refering to the novelisaitons of the moveis (the novels "Star Wars," "Empire Strikes Back," etc) in which case they would be canon subordinate to the movies.

THERE... IS... ONLY... ONE... "N"... IN... "CANON".

A cannon is a big gun.

Please, everyone, try to learn the difference. You can't begin to understand complex ideas until you can get the basic ones straight.

Thats the good thing about SW. All the authors work together and dont contradict each other. It keeps a good storyline going even through different authors and series of books.
