Okay, I think I may have some hard evidence for a second Home One. In this animated GIF (HDS's), on the far left we can see a Calimarian cruiser approaching, probably getting ready to plaster the Executor with everything it has.

A single bump is visible on the starboard side towards the front. Home One-type cruisers have that bump, but the MC80A-type cruisers do not appear to. Liberty-class cruisers have some small bumps, but none that should be prominent at this range (1, 2).


As for the third one, this shot shows a cruiser about to be destroyed by the DS2. The forward area shows a prominent "triple bump" and in the rear you can see a raised area with that appears to be a small bridge-pod on top. I would argue that this design matches Home One; the Wingless design (MC80/MC80A) is missing some of those features: the "third level" blister is not as pronounced and lacks the high bridge in the aft portion of the ship.

The large one below and left of the Falcon.

That is definately 100% certainly a Home One. It lacks the distinctive side blisters of the MC-80.

Also that shot is from the opening sequence of the battle. The cruiser destroyed by the DS2's 2nd shot is in the lower right hand corner of the screen and there aren't nearly that many TIEs in the scene.

What we do see in that shot is 2 Liberty-class Cruisers and Home One. Now the animated .gif is debateable but hardly proof of there being a second Home One.

Yes, but this is from a much larger expanded frame of that scene. IMO, 1, 2 and 3 belong to the exact same scene (just cropped much smaller) and show the second DS shot.

Now the animated .gif is debateable but hardly proof of there being a second Home One.

The forward starboard side blister is visually distinct, however, and based on its current trajectory would match the cruiser seen on the right of this image which has the distinct H1 engine profile. An earlier scene from Ackbar's flag bridge showed the demise of the Executor from a differing angle than that cruiser would indicate.

Phongn: There are no MC80As. They're a post-Endor model. There's the wingless-subtype MC80 and Liberty-subtype MC80. And then the Home One-type commandships.

Brain fart, I know that the MC80A postdates Endor.

Upon reviewing, it is clear that the second cruiser destroyed by the DS2 was in fact of the Home One subtype.

Where??? I can't see any starships at all in that shot's lower right-hand corner.
