What is it with Execetor Admirals?

This is weird; the guy who played Admiral Piett also played Jesus in Life of Brian (1979) and the guy who played Admiral Ozzel also played Hitler in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) and Dirty Dozen II (1985)

Maybe thats why Piett was able to survive the wrath of Vader :D ...

Yes, I didn't convey my point clearly at all...

Ozzel actor had previously been cast as Hitler in Rogue Male (1976) and Tomorrow People (1973) and later in those two more famous movies I mentioned. Piett actor was previously cast as Jesus. I think it was more than coincidence that actors who had previously been cast in those respective roles because of the way they looked were chosen for the roles of Piett and Ozzel, respectively.

My reaction was that Lucas may have put more thought in who played those particular imps than we would give him credit.

I don't think any real direct correlation but certainly he picked many people for a certain look about them.

Though it's funny to see Ozzel in a nazi role given the comparisons many make about the Imps and the Third Riech.

Though all in all I still find it funny how many imp officers are brits.

Piet got out alive in 'FireFox' as well.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

But not even Major-General Veers could defeat 007 in For Your Eyes Only. Clearly, then, Echo Base has no hope of victory when faced with Roger Moore, let alone Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, or Sir Sean Connery.

Humm, Sheard also dies an utterly pointless death by remote in Rememberance of the Daleks, (Dr Who) I think he may be typecast as Mr Fall Guy...
