Strength of C-3PO

How physically strong is C-3PO? The only feat of strength I remember is in ANH where he tosses a dead Jawa onto a pyre for disposal.

No, but he is a droid, and they tend to be pretty strong. There's no real reason for Data to be super strong, being a science officer, yet he still is.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:I'd think that he's at least as strong as a human, but perhaps less.
There's really no reason for a protical droid to be much stronger than a human.
Data wasn't originally made to become a Starfleet science officer though.observer_20000 wrote:No, but he is a droid, and they tend to be pretty strong. I'm not talking about him being super strong or anything. He'd be rather useless in a battle considering he seems rather inflexible. I'm just saying that I'd imagine he's stronger than the average human, since he has servo motors in his joints as opposed to mere muscle.neoolong wrote:Data wasn't originally made to become a Starfleet science officer though.observer_20000 wrote:No, but he is a droid, and they tend to be pretty strong. As for 3P0, it may be hard to gauge without feats. Anakin did create him from scraps after all. Some may be from parts that give the droid extra strength, some not.
If you'd bothered reading my post, you'd notice I clearly stated I didn't think he was super strong or anything like that.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Oh yes, since we all know robot automatically equals super strong...
Or his feeble hand motions?Gandalf wrote:Would his bad walking style provide any proof?
That's the thing. They are probably stronger than human muscles BUT like you said, his arms weigh a bit more than a human arm as well, so that added strength goes to just moving the arms and less toward physical labor. If his arms weighed as much as human arms and the servos provided more power than human muscles, he would be stronger yes. Just having servos in his arms doesn't make him stronger.observer_20000 wrote:Think about it. I don't know exactly how much he weighs, but considering he's mostly metal, his limbs would likely weigh more than a humans, therefore requiring servomotors in his joints, that are stronger than an average humans joints.
True. I guess in the end, we really have no way of gauging his strength.Gil Hamilton wrote:That's the thing. I never said he was.Kuja wrote:observer_20000 wrote:I'm not talking about him being super strong or anything. He'd be rather useless in a battle considering he seems rather inflexible.
He's not MADE for battle. WAR droids are. He's a protocol droid and there no need for him to be made tough.
