Here's a question for a fanfic I'm contemplating: How many languages do Imperial humans have, what are their names and what is the most prevalent one?

That could be a problem for them in unfamiliar territory.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:When the Imperials took over, they probably made a "Galactic Language". According to the EpI ICS, the Empire standardized communications, making translators on ships nearly obselete.
Oh, about the size of a human head. While six million languages for one droid seems to be considered impressive (for a commercial product) in SW, it might be a sufficient amount for within the 12 million inhabited worlds of the Galaxy.Howedar wrote:Just because they're obsolete doesn't mean they're gone. Simply reduced in signifigance. After all, there's an assload of room on a mile-long cheese wedge, how much could a translator take?
What unfamilliar terriroty? Many sources state that the unknown regions mostly comprises of systmes dispersely spread out on the very edge of the galaxy. Since most likely all of the galaxy has been mapped by then, and the majority of the galaxy is inhabitted, there's no need to analyze 'new' languages, as they're all known.Raoul Duke, Jr. wrote:That could be a problem for them in unfamiliar territory.
