Basic Jedi Power Question

What are the limits of basic Jedi powers?

This came up at lunch when we were trying to decide if it was possible to force pull something from the line to us, even though it was around two corners.

So, thinking specifically of force pulling and the mind tricks, what are the limits? Line of sight? A particular range? Dependent on the strenght of the Jedi involved?

I realize this is likely a stupid question, but my SW knowledge is limited to the films.

depends on the user. Yoda and your average force-user are going to have different limits.

We know that line of sight is not a concern. Luke and Yoda lifted the X-Wing with closed eyes. There is an example in TPM with battledroids being messed up internally as well. The first example also demonstrated sufficiently that it depends on the skill of the user. Most likely there is some kind of range limit, but I haven't looked into lower upper limit analysis on that.

Vader also choked Ozzel on the bridge from his chambres.

Indeed. If the Force user knows where the object is, they can affect it.

I think line of sight would be directly proportional to the amount of Force perception a Jedi had to sense what was around the corner.
