This is basically a copy of a
news announcement I've put up on
The Furry Conflict. Since alot of folks here are Star Wars fans, I figured there would be some interest
TFC has recently obtained a ticket for a special Question and Answer Session with Mr. George Lucas on Wednesday, November 19, 2003. Between the date of this posting and Tuesday, November 18, The Furry Conflict will be accepting suggestions for questions to pose to Mr. Lucas during this event. Of the submissions received,
one question will be chosen and asked of Lucas, and his answer reported on The Furry Conflict on Thursday, November 20th (barring divine intervention or other emergency). Suggestions for what to ask Mr. Lucas should be forwarded to
repository@furryconflict.com (limit 5 suggestions per respondent).
G'day, folks--and gimme some
good suggestions

Hmm... I really don't care to suggest any questions, Marc, but can you do us a favor and anonymously tabulate how many suggestions are "Can a Star Destroyer bitch-whomp the Enterprise?", "Is the EU canon as long as it doesn't contradict the films?", and "Is Natalie Portman gonna be topless in Episode 3?"

"Is Curtis Saxton your illegitimate son?"

Actually, I'd like that one asked so that we can annoy Scooter with the answer.

Asking if the ICS is canon would be a goodone too.

I really don't think Lucas gets into that much, thats left to the lawyers and such of LFL.

Isn't that just asking what's already been answered?

What do you think of Dr. Curtis Saxton's work on his website/Ep.II ICS and is there any plans to bring him back for future technical books?
What purpose do the globes atop Star Destoyers serve? (I know they're sensor globes but it can't hurt to hear it from him.
)
Any furture Star Wars related movies/books/cartoons you plan to personally direct/oversee after Ep.III?

How long is the Executor? What are the globes on top of a star destroyer bridge? I think that is what needs answering

Are the rumors of an "extra special edition" true?
Is the EU integrated into your movie storyline, or is it just publicized fan fiction?
Rumor has it that episode 3 will include a shot of the starting of the construction of the Death Star. Wouldn't that contradict the fact that they were able to build a second, much larger Death Star in 1/5th the time it would take the first one?
How old are Luke and Leia in A New Hope?
What is Palpatine's first name?
What is Dooku's first name?
At the end of Return of the Jedi, Anakin had brown/yellow eyes. Why is that? Also, why did Palpatine and Darth Maul also have yellow eyes, but Dooku did not?

Oh, and Marc, if you ever manage to get Curtis Saxton to do an interview, ask him about his dealings withthe two bumblefucks who run TFN. They are pretty much universally loathed by other website admins, I'd love to hear any backroom politics he had to say.

Because that is what we all are doing.
Good questions so far, I have nothing real to add....

I think it would be best to ask the "how does the EU fit into the canon of the the rest of the Star Wars Saga (and please no cryptic 'alternate universe' garbage)?"
If only for the SW vs ST debate (and more specifically, Darkstar).

He'd just declare that the SW Saga was self-contradictory and somehow shoe-horn that into only excepting movie canon still or just use that as a cop-out of the debate all together--not sure which.

Why, in the name of bollock, will you not release the original original trilogy on DVD?

The last time I saw him answer that question was when there was one EU novel out and there were two OT movies yet to be made. I'd like to see if he's changed his ideas about it being a "parellel universe".

Personally, I'd release both trilogies and a pile of articles in a boxed collectors edition, that way not harming the sales of the SE.
