There's alot of different types of stormtroopers, from normal to sandtroopers, artictroopers, etc. Which is your favorite?

For me, sandtroopers. I've liked them since I first saw em in ANH. Oddly enough, I think it's because of that tan thing on the stormies shoulders. That and the dewbacks.

hrrm. . . .does emperor palpatines elite guard count as stormtroopers, or would they be something completely different?

I'd say Storm Commandos, those black uniforms kick ass. But the New Republic's new special ops guys are even better

Of course I may be slightly biasd twards the NR.

Oh and Coruscant Guard > NR guys.

They're in the last NJO book. There was a thread that described them.

Basically they have black Stormie-like outfits.

What's the purpose of the shoulder paldroon anyway? If it marks rank or something, then how do the regular storm troopers mark rank?

Bah, I like the regular stormtroopers. The classic.

Storm Commandos kick ass.

Classic Stormies are cool too.

In for 3rd are the good ol' Scout Troopers.

Gimmee Mk 1 Mod 0 Stormies, ala the guys who tore through the Tantive IV

Spacetroopers. The guys with the big heavy zero-g armour, that can fly around in space launching mini-protons that can even make an X-wing think twice.

Imagine, some guys are shooting at you on a ship, you blow open a wall, expose the whole room to vacuum, and you're the only survivor.

Zero-G Troopers. One of the few positive contributions WEG made to mapping out the Imperial war machine, IMO.

Classic stormies (I guess they would be Marines, right? Boarding and whatnot) Menacing and faceless...the TRUE extension of the powerful arm of the galactic empire. Sure, the others filled a niche (Darktroopers and whatnot) but when someone says Stormtroopers, I always get an image of the Tantive IV...

There's practical applications, such as turning the Stormie-YV kill ratio to about 1:500.

Spacetroopers are favorite Imperial soldiers. They have heay armor, massive firepower and can fight in any enviorment.
