In the Phantom Menace, when Palpatine and Darth Maul are walking on the balcony, Maul says "At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi, at last we will have revenge."
Revenge for what?

Revenge for what?
I always got the impression that he meant revenge on behalf of all Sith. They've been lying low for a thousand years, bideing their time before the
time would be right to make the Jedi pay for nearly destroying them. (Although, I thought the Sith themselves had a hand in that, but i guess that problem had already been dealt with).

yeah. The only survivor from the final battle of Sith v Jedi was Darth Bane. He started a tradition of only one master and apperntice at one time. He passed on his name 'Darth' to his successors, along with his hate of the Jedi.

Revenge for losing the Sith War. Revenge for being wiped off the face of the galaxy.

Dose it matter what it was it may have been. It may have been as simple as Obi Wan spilling his drink on Maul.

Revenge for stealing their bleach. Their robes aren't really black, there just really dirty.

Darth Sidious to Darth Maul as he leaves Coruscant for the last time:
"Now be careful... And remember that these robes are dry clean only!"
"Yeeesss mother.. er... master."

Maul means revenge on Lucas, for not giving him any other lines than that one.

WRONG! He said
"Tatooine is sparsely population. Finding them will not be difficult."
AND
"Yes, my master."

i havent said anything in a while so ...um yeah
Sith War, Jedi beat Sith any chance they get. Revenge its all good.
Though i dont see how killing one Jedi or the wanted 2 gets you anywhere besides the rest of the Jedi knowing that the Sith are back and want to enter a Tango with the Jedi to win their bleach back. I also wonder if Maul had any real Revenge of his own before this. the only thing i can think of is in Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter when all he thought about while chasing the Jedi Padawan Darsha Asant was failing his master and getting "punished". He may hate Jedi for making him feel like he will fail.

Maul was a wee bit bloodthirsty, he wouldn't necessarily look at it logically. And he probably knew something of Paply's plans. He could interpret that as the revenge rather than just killing Kenobi and Jinn.

In one of the documentaries on the DVD you can hear Ray Park (as Maul) saying some lines (that were cut) during the scene where Maul is walking with the Neimodians as they comunicated with Darth Sidious' hologram.
Still, if Maul wasn't going to be given more lines I would have liked to have seen him interacting and indimidating the crap out of the Neimodians, other
beings etc...
Just more Maul period.

1st point: a means to an end, my friend.
2nd point: practice twirling a wooden pole the way Maul worked his saber. You have to do it without allowing it to touch your body, or you'll slice yourself up. Now, break the pole in half and slash, stab, and parry. Remember to keep your hands near the base. See?

The Anti-alien bias is solely an EU figment. And the Rebellion attributes to Palpatine but several sources say he simply let the biases of some of his henchmen run loose.
Then again maybe Palpy simply used Maul as disposable henchmen. He certainly had no problem playing the seperatists and federation (both alien dominated) to their ruin. Could be he's more biased than he lets on.

It could have simply been a ploy that he used to secure the backing of human supremists within the Old Republic, yet not necessarily be something he personally believed in.
And while they only seem to focus on it in the EU, it does seem telling that the Old Republic's Senate from TPM and AOTC seems to be composed primarily of nonhuman races (or at least the ones that get screen time are nonhuman), yet we see very few alien races in ANH or TESB, and even the nonhumans in ROTJ are still limited to the Rebellion (and even there about equal in number with the humans)...
