Post by Mlenk »

At the end of ESB, is that another galaxy that Luke and Leia are looking at?

It could be any one of the three "galactic bodies' shown in a holgraphic image in AOTC, one of which Obi Wan referred to as the Rishi Maze.

I thought it was their galaxy, just that they jumped far enough away that it would appear like that (they were being chased by the Empire, after all).

By the way, nice Avatar. Where did you get it?

It's a nebula. It being either the Galaxy or another galaxy would violate the laws of physics:

Nah, don't worry. I won't counter. I wasn't sure what it was anyway, and now that I read what Curtis wrote on his site I can revise my opinion. Thanks! :)

Yeah, it's just that we've had some real nimrods in the past try to argue against it (such as Stas Bush, but then again, he was such a loop that it was hard to figure out what exactly he was arguing...), so I decided to be cautious.

They couldn't be outside thier galaxy, and why is simple.

There are still STARS around them, alot of them.

Would a star system in the process of forming look anything like what we saw in ESB?

Possibly.

Or it could be a star forming, which IIRC would fall under the nebulae category, technically.

I heard somewhere that it was a forming protostar, im not sure if it was in a documentary, book, WEG sourcebook, or a magazine. I never did believe it was a galaxy.
