Canon sights and sounds, and the accuracy thereof.

We're supposed to believe that everything that happened in the movies happened exactly as they are depicted on screen. Going by this are we also to believe:

1: Since there is sound in space, is there really sound in space?

2: Does Basic really sound like English?

3: Does written Basic really look like English?

George wanted it to be in basic but the execs said no because they thought the audience wouldn't know what Obi-Wan was doing depiste the fact that it was explained right after they get onto the DS.

Sound isn't actually occuring in space; it's non-diagetic use of sounds they would make in an atmosphere (which are most likely the same sounds used in the ship cockpits as audio and directional references).

No It's explained in the Radio Dramas that the sound is just a simulation that gives gunners, pilots a sense of the action taking place.
2: Does Basic really sound like English?
No. it just makes it easier for the audience to follow and connect with instead of subtitles.
3: Does written Basic really look like English?
Nope. a good example of written basic is on the DS display in ROTJ when Vader's shuttle lands.
