Is it listed anywhere in the EU whether he's carrying a repulsor pack on him, and what type/lifting capability does it possess? Also, does anyone know whether a maximum limit for Fett flying height and speed can be derivived? Thank you.

We can only derive minimums from what we've seen of Boba's pack and Jango's pack, which probably have similar capabilities.

Do games have any standing in deriving these things? Because he uses one in Shadows of the Empire (N64).

Games are generally a poor standard for deriving anything. If we look at games, we can conclude that an ISD can be taken down by one torp delivered to its bridge, after several dozen laser shots to sensor globes and main reactor dome.

DW is right; the two jetpacks are identical models. Though I'll be damned if you can figure out how fast Jango is flying by looking at AOTC...

It shoots flames out the thrusters, and it explodes when destroyed. Whatever it is or however it works, I would bet repulsorlifts have little or nothing to do with it.

Star Wars Bounty hnter is pretty inaccurate, you can't do all that high with it after a limit like most console games. The secondary pack, the one Jango had Geonosis is much stronger. (like they're too follow terms) Fett's AOTC pack seems rather strong, but we have no idea how much energy they can generate in one use.

Well, we know the total mass of the pack is no more than a normal human can carry. We know the effective exhaust velocity, more or less (I think you can see the flame propogate from the nozzles). We know the thurst, roughly, and therefore the amount of propellant exhausted per second. Therefore, we could find the total impulse delivered by the motor.

I believe it is somewhere in the EU that theres a backup repulsor lift, but its only any good for hovering in the air basically.
it was in a Sourcebook for the RPG and one of the anthologies IIRC.

Are you sure that it was two jetpacks? I'd always assumed that Boba had just inherited and re-apinted his father's gear.

Jango's first JP exploded in his fight with Obi-Wan on Kamino.
His second was seen damaged when he was trampled by the rampaging beast (sorry forget the name) on Geonosis.
I suppose little Boba could have retrieved and repaired that JP as well as repainted it, but I'd rather just assume that his father had several spares, or the plans and materials and he just built his own.

Isn't all of Fett's stuff vintage Mandalorian gear?

It was before Lucas fucked the EU in the ass with the new movies.

It's not unreasonable to expect Boba Fett to buid a new jetpack, buy an old one, or just use another spare on his ship.

He propably does build his own, and canon doesn't necessarily contradict official on this. He could be using the old Mandalorian designs to make working reproductions...

Thanks, but is it conclusively ruled out that there isn't a repulsorlift? Or if there was, what's the source for it pls? Its just strikes me to be unlikely that the jetpack is the one doing all the lifting.

Isn't the dent that the reek inflicted on Jango's helmet the same dent that's on Boba Fett's helmet in the OT? If that's the case, then it suggests that at least some of Boba's armor is comprised of conversions/repaints of Jango's armor.

Or it could mean that both are susceptible to head injuries. Kind of like how the clones have a tendency to bang their heads into doorways.
