Assuming that a Jedi/Sith is facing a rather large number of non-force using opponents, could the said Jedi/Sith pick up discarded blasters using the force, point them at the enemy army and start firing while deflecting blaster bolts with his/her lightsaber?

I doubt it, not many jedi seem to multi-task their abillities that way.

I've never seen a Jedi manipulate a small object like a blaster trigger in any of the movies, so I assume that they'd have difficulty with it, especially in the heat of combat.

The EU cleary demonstrates fine manipulation. However, it would take concentration and detract from the blocking. So I doubt it would be worth it.

In the Thrawn Trilogy Luke is able to snatch a blaster out of a Stormtoopers hand and fire it over a crowd. Though he admits he doesn't have enough skill to aim accurately.
I guess with practice you could learn. Snatch enough blasters and i'm sure you can hit something.

luke who is like the most powerful jedi in exsistance?? Theres no question wether a jedi could operate a blaster through TK but they would have to concentrate immensly. Not something a jedi can afford to do in the heat of battle.

Considering Jedi can manipulate objects at the molecular level, I wouldn't say the skill can't be learned. But they would need cover so they could safely focus enough to pull it off. They won't be able to do much else while in this state.

Those Jedi with years of training, like Yoda and Darth Maul, should in theory be able to do it. I mean, in TPM, Maul blocked lightsaber strikes while using the Force to send a crate into a door pannel.

He wasn't blocking lightsabre strikes as he did it- he was retreating- and it wasn't a crate, it was a small piece of battledroid wreckage- IIRC.

My bad. It's been a while since I've seen TPM.
