What is the New Republic (Rebels) flagship?
I mean the ship that represents the New Republic Navy.

I don't think it was the lusyanka(sp?) because IIRC it was destroyed at the Battle of borealis in the NJO and I doudt that the NR would sacrifice thier flagship.

I think it was the Ralroost, but I'm not sure.

Lusankya IIRC was only captained by a Commander and was a part of Antillies fleet in defence of Borealias(sp?)

IIRC the fleet was split into battle groups and each battle group had a flag ship. My guess would be that the Flagship was whatever ship the Supreme Commander commanded, the Sulistian(sp) Admiral but i don't think his ship was ever mentioned by name.

Most people would have learned from their previous thread that it is highly unlikely that the entire NR fleet has a single "flagship".

This isn't the United Federation of Planets' Starfleet.

The New Republic Defence Force uses the correct terminology for "flagship."

A "flagship" is a vessel where a "flag" is raised by a flag officer, ie., an admiral. A ship is commanded by her captain (including a flagship). The fleet is commanded by the admiral. The flag officer may raise his or her flag on any ship of their choosing, which ipso facto becomes the flagship.

ADM Ackbar's flagship at the battle above the Sanctuary Moon of Endor was Home One.

General Solo's flagship in the campiagns against former FADM Zsinj was the NRS Mon Remonda.

General Antilles' flagship during the campiagns against traitorous former Soveriegn Protector cum-ersatz "Lord" and Interim Council Chairman Carnor Jax was the NRS Lusankya.

Lusankya was never used as a fleet wide flagship for the New Republic. While important, it was used in different sorts of actions. By the time of NJO it was no longer even a flagship and most Admirals/Generals seemed to prefer other ships. For example, Garm choose the Peregrine (a Dreadnaught) as his Flagship.

Now, Home One was the Rebellions and New Republics primary flagship for many years. Ackbar got a lot of good use out of that ship and given his position as Supreme Commander of the New Republic fleet it would hold a primacy of all Flagships.

What happened to Home One anyway? I didn't see anything about it in the NJO series. Did it retire with Ackbar?

Wrong. During the NJO is led one of the numbered fleets while the NRS Guardian did another. It was General Antilles' flag against Jax, and it was in his campiagn in the Antemeridan and Meridan Sectors.

There's no "flagship primacy." Flagships are ship carrying a flag officer. Just a term, not a status or role symbol.

The NRS Home One wasn't even Ackbar's flagship when he was aboard the NRS Independence, as he rose his flag on that vessel and it became his flagship.

No idea. I believe it was Ackbar's flagship during the Battle of Bilbringi. It was probably destroyed or trashed during Operation SHADOWHAND. Ackbar transfers his flag to the MC90 NRS Defiance.

Didn't know that. Given what was described of the Lusankya by Allston it seemed that it saw little action in the NJO times and the Vong had no idea such a large "triangle ship" existed.

I was merely stating that Home One (and other ships Ackbar put his flag on) would get more prestige.

I guess he went for a ship dedicated for capitalship combat over his old carrier. Though by that time Home One had seen many years of extensive combat and had been seriously damaged a number of times.
