What will be the future of the Imperial Remnants? Will they eventually whither away and become just a memory? Or will the expland a little and become a great civilization? The IR has been one of my favorites organizations except for the whole being small.

The IR is now part of the GA, right? That being the case, it will probably continue to exist, but I doubt it will grow significantly.

Depends on the EU writters. Probobly it will remain the same it has been -a small remaining faction of the once mighty Empire.

Will the GA dissolve after the YV threat is completely over or will it stay there?

And the writer's lack of skill.

Although I haven't read nothing involving Pellaeon, if I have understood correctly, he is a good officer and quite competent leader that has managed to keep in line the ambitious Grand Moffs. It is pretty clear that the authocratical structure of the Empire is very fragile, but to the moment, Pellaeon has done a good job and when the YV are overthrown (which won't take that long, hopefully) the Imperial Remnant may have the chance to increase its size peacefully just incorporating nearby worlds with population that feel an urge to have an strong government and military to prevent an eventual YV retaliation.

I hope the IR retains some of it's autonomy in the post NJO books. For it to be simply absorbed into the GA would suck.

I think it would be a good idea that the Imperial Remnants maintain its independance and even grow a lot. For them to just become a nothing society would just stink.

They will. There's too much potential in the remains of Palpatine's empire to not do it. Of course, it depends on thre writer *cough* KJA *cough*.

It would be nice if people did read before expounding at length their opinions without evidence.

Might I recommend that you read Unifying Force as that will tell you how there will be no YV retaliation.

True but there is a wealth of resources available on the internet including this site. Starwars.com also has biographies of EU characters. You should have read them.

Its more your mistake about the YV, IMHO. Some might disagree about Pelladon(sp) though, but it the Unifying Force all of the YV and "subdued"

The thing about "it won't take that long to defeat the Vong"? It's a personal belief. Nothing more, nothing less. I really think that Coruscant is the turning point in the war. If writers let the YV win any aditional key planet, the Star Wars galaxy is going to need some god-like help... And I think that the trekification of the Galaxy far, far away is the ultimate fear of any warsie.

Err, I dunno if your been reading the board recently but the YV have been almost all relocated to Zonoma Sedkot, so thereisno "YV" threat, unless you count the few warriors holed up on some worlds. Also Courascant(SP) has be recaptured.
