How powerful are the Blaster Rifles that were used by the Clone Troopers compared to the Blaster Rifles used in "moden day" Star Wars? Also, what is the model designation of those blaster rifles?

I'm not completely sure they were blaster rifles, but they were much more powerful than the E-11 carbines used by Imperial stormtroopers. The rifles were designed for warfighting against a mechanical enemy, thus they are powerful enough to blow droids apart. The blaster rifles used by modern stormtroopers are more for security and pacification, although they do have heavier weapons when in the field (ANH).

There's been an 80 MJ figure floating around on this board. I have no idea how accurate it is.

The clonetrooper rifles are Rothana DC-15s
