IIRC, Wedge killed her clone, and Iella killed the original.Mr Bean wrote:Erisi was quite dead, The CLONE of Isard died, thats about it

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
That's what they want you to think.....Durran Korr wrote:IIRC, Wedge killed her clone, and Iella killed the original.Mr Bean wrote:Erisi was quite dead, The CLONE of Isard died, thats about it
Reread the end of the book, specifically: Iella's threat to Isard, then all the little references to the 'bow hold.'

Mme Director Isard is dead. It is implied by Isard's Revenge that perhaps she did not die, but the implication is vague, and has been subsequently overruled by later sources.
Specifically, the New Essential Guide to Characters states (p. 85):
Specifically, the New Essential Guide to Characters states (p. 85):
This explicit statement is complemented and confirmed independently by the Official Site Databank, whose biography of Mme Director Isard states:When she tried to commandeer the gigantic Super Star Destroyer, she found New Republic Intelligence agent Iella Wessiri waiting in her quarters. Wessiri had anticipated Isard's treachery. She shot and killed Ysanne Isard, bringing an end to the reign of "Iceheart."
It is purely wishful thinking on the part of those who claim that Mme Director Isard did not die, based solely on their interpretation of an implication from the novel. That interpretation has been overruled clearly and explicitly. She was not imprisoned aboard the Lusankya.Isard agreed. A New Republic taskforce attacked Krennel's Ciutric Hegemony and managed to free the prisoners. Isard still found a chance to betray the New Republic, as she tried to retake her beloved Lusankya. Her betrayal was predicted by Iella Wessiri, who shot Isard dead.

*Shot and killed, lots of people have been shot and killed but the book quite epcility goes on to say one section of the Hull was sealed off after Isard was "Killed" and tended only by droids, I don't think Booster and Co would go around advertising they intended to give Life Imprisonment plus Isolation(No one but driods to attend to her)
Its a pretty twisted punishment(Though Isard debatably desrved it)
The main question Publis is did she KILL her, Or "Kill her" such as Stackpole "killed" Corran, or "Killed Bor Jace",
In anycase in twenty years she will be equaly dead but the *Veiled refence to a part of the Bow is not listed
Instead very last page she Iella mentions quite specficy an area only driods are allowed to go and a "Contaiment Cell" which is increably secure and is sealed off to the rest of the ship
Now then why go to all that trouble if she is dead? Iella, Myrax and Booster are the only ones who knew where she was going and the only ones in the area at the time.
As they say, Never assume anyone is dead until you see the body-Booster

ok, lemme rephrase...
1.) if possible, specifically who died, and since chances are I don't know who you are talking about include description and possibly picture
2.) Give raw facts: number of military officers dead: #
number of civvies dead: #
3.) if you haven't figured out that I have morbid sex obsessions by now, you haven't been on this board long

Mr Stackpole's annoying habit of "killing" Colonel Horn is utterly irrelevant to the topic at hand. Mr Stackpole may have himself intended to suggest that perhaps Mme Director Isard did not die, but that suggestion has been subsequently overruled.
The ambiguous implication at the end of Isard's Revenge only hints that Mme Isard may not be dead. If that were all that were said on the matter, then the idea that she was not killed would be tenable.
However, two separate sources have independently confirmed that Mme Director Isard is dead, killed by Agent Wessiri. The implicit suggestion of Isard's Revenge has been overruled by explicit statements to the contrary.
Certainly, the subsequent confirmation of her death makes the scene with Agent Wessiri discussing the containment cell superfluous; but that, too, is irrelevant. If Mr Stackpole intended to make sure that readers understood that Mme Director Isard was not dead, he should have stated as much. He did not.

This debate rather reminds me of the Classic Tale the Lady or the Tiger, prehaps Mr Stackpole intended for it to be left amgouliusCertainly, the subsequent confirmation of her death makes the scene with Agent Wessiri discussing the containment cell superfluous; but that, too, is irrelevant. However I can not aurgue with your logic or reasoning Publius so the point is conceded
