New Novels feedback anyone?
Can anyone give me a feedback on the new novels? I'm talking about anyt´hing written after the last Vong book(One's taking place on Tatoine i think, and the other one's writen by Zahn.) I wanna buy them, but they are quite expensive, so i wanted to know if they are worth it.
As long there is gravity, ride on...

I found Troy Denning's "Star By Star" to be quite enjoyable, myself - I'm going to read "Tatooine Ghost" next. As for Zahn's "Survivor's Quest" I'm not sure about. Zahn's trilogy rocked, but his duology sucked (in comparison to his previous work - to KJA and the vast majority of the EU it's a fucking diamond in the rough), so I remain somewhat skeptical about his new work.

And of course the fact that it was at a time of 'meh' or worse books made it seem better than it was.consequences wrote:But SbS came after two hardovers that were at best 'meh' quality. There's really no way to tell until its too late.
It's definitely one of the most overrated Star Wars novels. It was decent enough but certainly not great.
Survivor's Quest by Zahn is typical of his standards (especially character driven stories), but don't expect any big fleet stuff, it's more small and personal.
On the bad side, it raises more questions than answers about what happened to the Outbound Flight, and how Thrawn and the Jedi all tie into it, so you'll be hanging out for his other book like you have cravings.
The best description I could give of it?
It reads like one of his short storis that he wrote with Stackpole, plenty of fun, but without the 'grandiose' atmosphere.

Η ζωή, η ζωή εδω τελειώνει!
"Science is one cold-hearted bitch with a 14" strap-on" - Masuka 'Dexter'
"Angela is not the woman you think she is Gabriel, she's done terrible things"
"So have I, and I'm going to do them all to you." - Sylar to Arthur 'Heroes'
