Killing Jar Jar Binks..

If Jar Jar Binks was actually a cleverly introduced character by George Lucas to build up the rage amongst his fans, and then kill him in some horribly gruesome manner at the end of Episode 3..

1) How should he die?
2) How many times will you go to see it?

The most painful and gruesome death ever, but knowing Lucas he`ll never do that.

He's not going to die. Lucas and McCallum have said so.

Personally, I've never had that much of a problem with Jar Jar. He actually does have some pretty good moments.

He's not going to die? What? Why not? He singlehandedly doomed the Republic. He needs to die.

What moments? The only important thing he did was hand Palpatine the power he needed to become Emperor. The rest of the time he just acts stupid.

I've never been able to figure out why the masses feel so much hate towards ol' Jar-Jar.

Erm... Because he's a pointless character who just acts stupid and breaks things. He completely smashed all records for breaking things (including records, I suppose) by breaking the Galactic Republic. Furthermore, he has an annoying voice.

However , there is a bit of poetic justice for our friends, the Gungans, IIRC. After the end of the Republic, Naboo becomes the Emperors personal 'retreat' world, his dacha in the wood so to speak. Im sure the construction of a palace grand enough plus the defenses needed for such an important world, took many thousands of slaves....

He should die as quickly and as insignificantly as possible. The lest screen time wasted on this little turd the better.

Do kids really like him? I was 8 when I saw ROTJ and I thought the Ewoks were annoying even then. Is Lucas underestimating the kids' maturity when creating characters like Jar Jar or was I just abnormally surly for my age?

Jar Jar and the guys are sitting around campfire and are telling horror stories. Jar Jar want to look more scary by shining a flashlight under his chin. Unfortunatly he grabs Anakins lightsabre instead

I think my nephews like him, and so does my mother. And Ewoks are cool, man! Don't knock them, or they'll eat you for breakfast. I think you were just an abnormally surly child. :P

Hey, I'd take the Ewoks over Jar Jar any day. At least they don't speak pidgin English with a stupid voice.

He'd be far more acceptable to me if they'd had him speak some jabbering alien language that the humans just naturally understand (like Nien Nunb and Jabba do).

i hate Jar jar so:

- Jar Jar gets cooked alive by Ewoks after wandering off from a picnic at Endor

- Anakin force chokes him after he done something stupid again

The reason they had Jar Jar act like that in episode one was because C-3PO didn't have as many parts in Episode 1 in the original trilogy C-3P0 was the equivalent to Jar Jar

If you mean Jar-jar is meant to be the comic relief, yes. Although in my opinion he's not that funny because he doesn't have a sounding board for a companion - consider Threepio's conversations with Artoo, which were funny because they acted like a married couple who've known each other too long. Jar-jar is meant to be the comic relief but doesn't achieve the same effect due to not having a similar companion to "bounce" off of - instead he annoys the dour and stoic Jedi, who try their damndest to ignore him.

Still Jar-jar isn't as bad as others make him out to be. At the very least he's indirectly responsible for the Empire coming about. I'm sure the fan's feel vindicated on that (although Lucas still wins, as Jar-jar can be symbolically seen as a SW geek).

Once it's discovered the damage Jar Jar has caused he used the Twi'lek method of torure. Running an electrical current through a bacta tank, electrocuting him almost to the point of death then turing off the current allowing him to heal. Repeat untill satisfied.

I never really cared about Jar Jar. He was just there most of the time as far as I was concerned. I don't really blame him for the destruction of the Old Republic, though. True, he proposed giving Palpy the emergency powers, but the other Senators were quick enough to agree with him. If Palpy hadn't gotten Jar Jar to it, he would've found someone else.

Jar Jar was manipulated by Palpatine and his advisors into thinking that giving Palpatine emergency powers was the best solution.

I'd like to see him die the greusome death possible, something that would make the Passion of the Christ look like Barney, perhaps don't tell anyone about it until they've seen the movie, but I'd think it would be best if he didn't appear in Episode III at all.

Exactly. If Palpatine hadn't managed to get him to it, he simply would've convinced another Senator to make proposal. He had no way of knowing the consquences.

Palpatine is just a puppet for Jar-Jar. JJ hides behind his apparant clusiness so nobody would suspect him to be the cruel Sith Lord he really is. Once his puppet Palpy has risen to power, he will stay behind the scenes and be content to pull the strings.
Just imagine the faces of the heroes when they are being tortured in the Emperors dungeon and JJ walks in. You see how their face lightens up as they expect JJ to help them, and how their smiles are being distorted by the horror of realizing that he will oversee their gruesome death and forever rule the galaxy.
