Yoda's Past
We know that Yoda was 900 years old when he died and that he fought in the Clone Wars. However is there anything in the EU about his past. IE: what other wars he's fought in?

From the Courtship of Princess Leia we know that he was the leader of the Expedition to free the Jedi ships Cu'unthor or something like that. Basically a mobile training academy.

I believe he was aboard the Chu'unthor or whatever.

Wasn't there some sort of comics thing regarding part of his young(er) adulthood?

Yoda led a team to retreive the Chu'unthor from Dathomir, but was repulsed by the witches.
In apocryphal texts, Yoda's species has been referred to as "Whyll" and in the original incarnation of Star Wars it was a story "from the journal of the Whylls."

"Whill"
A card that called Yoda a Whill was specifically axed by The Flanneled One, so its definitely out.
And the "Journal of the Whills" bit comes from the novelisation of A New Hope.

Spoken to Luke just before he died. So him being alive for 900+ years seems to be established. Of course, he could be 999 years old and have been teaching Jedi Knights for 900 years. But that sounds too pedantic for me.Yoda in ROTJ wrote:"When 900 years old you will reach, look as good you will not, hmm?"

So, he became a Jedi master around age 100, and served for the rest of the time. I wonder when he became head of the Council...

About Yoda's race:
I always assumed he was one of those hooded creatures from Tatooine. Jawas, i think. He wore a similar cloak and hood, and i could picture him looking like that with his hood on. And he's about the right height for it. But appearantly all Jedi wear a similar hood and cloak, so now i dont know. But i still think he's a Jawa or something similar. And is he a reptile or mammal or what?

No. Jawas are furry rodents.18-Till-I-Die wrote:About Yoda's race:

And while I haven't seen his nipples, I'm almost positive Yoda's a mammal.

Was that little Yoda looking thing in Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, the same species as Yoda? I always wondered this.

SW fauna is not always compatible with our classification systems. For example, I cannot for the life of me decide what the opee and acklay are. But Yoda is obviously a mammal. He has hair. He does not have the "skin of a reptile". Reptillian skin is scaly or pebbly, green is not a reptillian characteristic.18-Till-I-Die wrote:Maybe Yoda is a midget .
Seriously, if Yoda is a mammal how come he's green and has skin like a reptile. And he could be a warm blooded reptile.

Wasnt there a Yoda chick in one of the prequel movies, i remeber seeing a Yoda-thing with a chick's hair. One of the Jedi council, right? Maybe if we look her up, they'll have some information on her race/birthplace and we can glean something about Yoda from that. Or am i imagining all of that about the female Yoda.
(And we're gonna have to make up a name for the race if nothing is ever found...like Yodans )

...Yaddle?
Waitasec...YADDLE!? God that's a bad name, it's almost as bad as Kit Fisto or Dick Army. Ok, well is there any information on where Yaddle came from? Race, birthplace, homeworld, anything?

In fact I doubt he'll honestly throw more then a few tidbits about Yoda and what he is...mostly to keep the mystique of it.
